because it's boring
You've obviously never played Arma at all.
DayZ on ARM2 = Nuketown 24/7 on Black Ops. Sure its cool and all if thats your thing. But when they make up literally 95% of the servers, it's kind of annoying when you just want to play.
in an off note, im going to be seeing Yahtzee this weekend!
ask him how awesome it is to have may 24 as his birthday. because thats my birthday and tons of awesome people have it.
Especially because DayZ is honestly horrible. All of the issues of ArmA II (Frequent bugs, jerky movement, shit animations) are all thrown in with added bugs, installation problems, and server errors up the ass. DayZ was awesome back when people worked in teams, but now it is literally glorified PvP. And in a game where you can shoot someone from a mile away and kill them instantly, that does not make for fun.
Like I always say, back when it was just ARMA guys playing it, everyone was friendly with each other and the only goal was to survive.
The problem with anything even similar to DayZ or Minecraft that allows PVP is that everyone will kill everyone for no fucking reason whatsoever
The problem with anything even similar to DayZ or Minecraft that allows PVP is that everyone will kill everyone for no fucking reason whatsoever
That's because there is no real downside to killing people in these games, unlike real life you'll suffer no mental repercussions because it's some video game dude plus you get free shit from their corpse. For a mod that people kept saying was a "realistic simulation" of what a zombie Apocalypse would be like it really removes one of the most important elements of that type of scenario. The human element.
