I can do the crosseyed bit but I can NOT focus right.
You can do this in GarrysMod. I played a lot of HL2 like it. My eyes hurt afterwards.
pp_stereoscopy would do the trick.

That command though is defaulted to a huge number that would strain your eyes should you try to focus. Setting it a lot lower makes it easier to see the illusions.
