Is the high-score a Polybius square code?
This is a really cool idea, I kind of wish he could have somehow drawn this out into a full-length polybius movie, because I think it has enough potential.
The way it is now, I wish there had been a slower build to it. It would have been great if it started out with an ordinary AVGN episode where he does a full-on comedic review of the game. If a programmer could have collaborated with him to make a simple game to display on the booth, all the better. Then he could follow it up with a non-AVGN video responding to commenters who call the game he played a hoax, so he spends a little more time examining the game and the cabinet and everything. Then after a lot more buildup it could climax in him being trapped in the building, desperately uploading videos to seek help. If he wanted to get really elaborate with it, it could even involve one or two live streams on Twitch as part of the performance.
I know filmmaking and horror movies have always been a big deal to him, and I didn't really care to see the AVGN movie, but honestly I think he could make a really good video-game-themed horror movie.
So far, the buildup has been just a little too predictable, like obviously he's not going to show the game itself, obviously he's going to get addicted to it, obviously he's going to lose his mind more and more. If there was more buildup and subterfuge I think it could have been something really amazing.

I think it would've been a more interesting idea if he played the game and then he forgets what it was like shortly after playing. Leaving with the implanted suggestion that he had a really great time playing the game and he reminds himself that he needs to play it again because he forgot. Even looking at the recorded footage makes him forget/becomes corrupted, or something like that.

I doubt it, it's a really specific number and I don't see why he would have even mentioned it if it was completely random.

Someone try "MKULTRA" as the keyword. I think he mentioned it as part of the legend, and it fits with th way this story is going.

So far he's been keeping the [sp]horror relegated to unacknowledge background visuals and just tension and anxiety[/sp]. Well...[sp]except for the end of day 5, that was a little over the top for horror[/sp].
As long as he keeps [sp]jump scares like that one down to a minimum (if not just leave it at that one) then I think he could make something pretty good out of it.[/sp]
How I envision a better ending is that once James unlocks the door and run out to escape he is then caught by MIB. The camera would be dropped and so you'd only hear the struggle.
