Couldn't hear anything. I have a love hate relationship with Mr. Mau5. I hate his new sound in his music. It all sounds way to club like for me and nothing like what he used to produce. But god damn do I love his shows. In my opinion Slip, Arguru, Not Exactly are his best songs.
Four minutes of ear rape.

I'd snip that unless you want to be banned
I was at the voyeur when this happened. People gave the guy nasty looks all evening.
I'd snip that unless you want to be banned
who?
faggots who think they are musicians... yeah...
who the fuck are you mr. hotshit
Joel Zimmerman is way too up his own arse for my liking...
Does anyone remember his comment about DJs? What an asshole.
Does anyone remember his comment about DJs? What an asshole.

In an October 2008 interview with the Irish Daily Star Deadmau5 was quoted as follows:
“It puts me to fucking sleep, to be quite honest; I don’t really see the technical merit in playing two songs at the same speed together and it bores me to fucking tears and hopefully, with all due respect to the DJ type that will fucking go the way of the dinosaur, I'd like them to dis-a-fucking-pear! It's so middle man, they’re like fucking lawyers! You need them, but they’re fucking cunts. God bless them, they’re my number one customer right, so I’m not gonna go dis every fucking DJ. But to say you become this massive, "up on a podium" performer by playing other peoples productions, at the same speed as someone else's productions and fading between the two of them, I don’t get it...”
Zimmerman apologized for this comment on November 4, 2008. He explained that the interview was bad, and that it did not express his opinion about DJs correctly:
"Let me start by admitting…. I did not grow up in the EDM scene. I don't consider my career to be about “being a DJ”. I don't have “DJ roots”. I never had any intention of becoming a DJ, and my conception of “DJ’s” in general from this standpoint has always been being forced into some nightclub when I would have rather stayed home, and watch some dude mash the “play / stop” button and occasionally move a pitch slider. Love it or hate it... that’s just been my conception of the traditional “DJ”. Mind you, I'm not a total fucking idiot, and I recognize talent when I see it... and there are many talented DJ’s out there for sure. In my eyes, those would be the individuals who utilize technology to deliver the music in ways that are both skillful and innovate, more-so than my vision of the “play/stop/pitch” DJ. To me, the club is about “the party”; the people make the night; the DJ obviously needs to use that to his advantage, it’s give and take."

He's absolutely fucking right. Very few DJs create their own tracks, and instead many play somebody else's productions side by side like it's their own fucking thing. I believe Deadmau5 deserves credit for how he's changed the scene because everything he's made is original, and as far as I know he's never played somebody else's tracks live.

Being a DJ means selecting the right tracks to make a party, instead of playing the same generic shit all the fucking time like this bastard does.
Actually I beg to differ, I'm taking DJ-ing lessons three times weekly from a friend of mine who plays clubs regularly. so don't tell me i don't know what I'm talking about, i keep my mouth shut when i don't know anything about a subject

You should also know it has a lot more to it than play/stop/pitch.
crappy video is crappy
Well it's hard to believe when you see DJ's like Paul Van Dyk get riproaringly drunk then play prerecorded shit through their gear, and once in a while turn a knob to look like they're doing something important

Nevertheless, his mixes along with A&B, Armin, Tiesto etc set the standard for trance around the world. Calling them assholes because of they are marketing geniuses is retarded, and when you break it down, that's all a DJ does. No pun intended.
faggots who think they are musicians... yeah...
Get out. [editline]19th October 2010[/editline]
You don't even know what it takes to be a DJ, and he doesn't either. He can't even tell what the hell he is.
ITT: 95% of people don't know anything about Deadmau5.
More footage:
Deadmau5 should come into this thread and tell you to get the fuck out.
