Without even listening to their music everyone always thinks My Bloody Valentine is emo or some metal core band just because of the name. That or they say something like, 'Don't you mean, 'Bullet For My Valentine" ?'
Why has noone recommended me any Dark Ambient in the suggest thread? :smith:
uhh I'd rec Lustmord. specifically, check out his album "Heresy" [editline]17th March 2011[/editline] his split with Melvins is really good too although it's not ambient

Was pleasantly surprised.
You know emo is not a real genre, right? Emotional Rock or emo rock on the other hand is, and I am pretty sure there are more subgenres that start with emo or emotional. But in general ''emo'' just means emotional.
You know nothing about music. Emo is emotive punk.
He knows plenty about music. Just not emo music.
SO HE KNOWS NOTHING /c

The Myspace has been inactive for a long time, I remember I found them back when they had more members :v:

"No good music has come from the Eighties or Nineties." My ex-girlfriend, what the fuck was she thinking when she said that.
"No good music has come from the Eighties or Nineties." My ex-girlfriend, what the fuck was she thinking when she said that.
Possibly fishing for your reaction.
I see she is your ex did you break up with her for being dumb about music
I heard this one guy dumped his girlfriend for not appreciating his music collecting. :raise:
lol
I see she is your ex did you break up with her for being dumb about music
Nope, this was like, 5 months after she broke up with me. :3 aha. She didn't say it to me, but like five of my friends told me she brought it up in discussion. The saddest part is she was trying to stand by her point when we all named like billions of amazing bands from those decades. /sigh
"Bohemian Rhapsody is a good song"
One of the last places you should've posted this in.
You know nothing about music. Emo is emotive punk.
Atleast someone knowswere it started.
i always kind of missed how emo or emotive punk (i'll just call it emo) or whatever you want to call it is emotional. i mean, comparing it to an actual period in time, for example the German time period "Sturm und Drang" (18th century) in which literature and music was really emotional, resulting in relatively abrubt music with flying high and crushing low emotions, in lyrics, vocals, and the ensemble as well. all emo music i have heard stays in one small tone segment, and sometimes has a clean chorus to contrast, but thats it. i've always doubted calling it emotional because theres nothing really emotional about it.
"Bohemian Rhapsody is a good song"
eat several dicks
"What are you, fuckin' emo or what?" When a douche in my school heard Dream Theater on my iPod that I was playing very loud.
:saddowns:
i always kind of missed how emo or emotive punk (i'll just call it emo) or whatever you want to call it is emotional.
Emo is punk with introspective lyrics, i.e. less "fuck the government" and more "fuck my life."
"Friday by Rebecca Black is the essence of pop and is extremely catchy" I shit you not, I actually heard someone say this.
I say that all the time. Because I'm trying to piss people off by saying it.
"Friday by Rebecca Black is the essence of pop and is extremely catchy" I shit you not, I actually heard someone say this.
I'm pretty sure that that is sarcasm.
"Friday by Rebecca Black is the essence of pop and is extremely catchy" I shit you not, I actually heard someone say this.
Well, it is popular for being bad :downs:
