"Justin Bieber is the new Michael Jackson" [img_thumb]http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll37/Geesaroni/RageFace.png[/img_thumb]
And I thought it was bad when he said he was the new Kurt Cobain.
I didn't really like the album that much, felt too angsty for me, and the fact that metallica is totally dominated by Lars who I fucking hate, and Hetfield is a pain in the ass.
I just don't like Hetfield's(?) voice, it's too clean without being powerful imo.
I read in the paper today that the blues musician Pinetop Perkins died, then it states that "His good friend BB King says "He will be forever remembered bla bla".... " It didn't state that BB King was a LEGEND in the blues genre, but only as his "good friend". Fuck me.... :colbert:
Continuing on a seperate note... I'm listening to one of Pipetop Perkins' albums... and he is fucking good. :slick:
[img_thumb]http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/reviewpics/varg1.jpg[/img_thumb]
''Varg Vikerenes' reaction to his 21-year jail sentence was chilling: he simply smiled'' From FHM, they did a thing on Norwegian black metal a while back. You guys reminded me about it.
Smiling at his jail sentence? That was his reaction to when he was told there were cupcakes in the prison waiting room. If a man loves cupcakes a man loves cupcakes :v:
[img_thumb]http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/reviewpics/varg1.jpg[/img_thumb]
I can't help but smile every time I see that picture.

"Blues is just a shitty rip-off of mathcore" - The guitarist of some crabcore band my friends were against in a battle of the bands. I have never wanted to punch someone more in my life.
"Blues is just a shitty rip-off of mathcore" - The guitarist of some crabcore band my friends were against in a battle of the bands. I have never wanted to punch someone more in my life.
How in all that is holy and sanitary do you arrive to the conclusion that blues is like mathcore? That guy is dumb.
"How do you play a C chord?" I'm a fucking bassist, how am I supposed to know? The guy asking this had been playing guitar for over 2 years.
"How do you play a C chord?" I'm a fucking bassist, how am I supposed to know? The guy asking this had been playing guitar for over 2 years.
Maybe he just thought that you knew alot about music playing and decided to ask?
Maybe he just thought that you knew alot about music playing and decided to ask?
I could construct one, but I'm too lazy to do that, I just told him to play it and assumed he knew how to play it as I thought he was a good guitarist.
I could construct one, but I'm too lazy to do that, I just told him to play it and assumed he knew how to play it as I thought he was a good guitarist.
Maybe he is a good guitarist who just hasn't needed chords before?
Maybe he is a good guitarist who just hasn't needed chords before?
We where having a go at a guy who played guitar and couldn't play chords, but anyway he's my mate so I probably overestimated his skills.
Maybe he is a good guitarist who just hasn't needed chords before?
This doesn't make sense.
We where having a go at a guy who played guitar and couldn't play chords, but anyway he's my mate so I probably overestimated his skills.
Unable to play chords/not remembering chords. Did he self teach? That would explain why he doesn't know much about theory(but good in practice?).
"Blues is just a shitty rip-off of mathcore" - The guitarist of some crabcore band my friends were against in a battle of the bands. I have never wanted to punch someone more in my life.
That sounds like a joke to me. Seriously, it has to be.
No dude Naked City were pioneers of jazzcore which then led onto jazz bands playing similar styles like that, eventually breaking it off to be a genre in its own right.
No dude Naked City were pioneers of jazzcore which then led onto jazz bands playing similar styles like that, eventually breaking it off to be a genre in its own right.
what does this have to do with blues or mathcore
No dude Naked City were pioneers of jazzgrind which then led onto jazz bands playing similar styles like that, eventually breaking it off to be a genre in its own right.
Fixed. [editline]27th March 2011[/editline] Wait no, jazzcore is right. Jazzgrind is still a better term though.
Conversation from facebook a while back:
Person: wow, the tip of the iceberg by owl city has some weird lyrics Me (after looking up said lyrics): I can think of weirder, such as I Know What I Like by Genesis Person: you listen to some wack music then
Some random dude on a review board.
someone has to say this, TOO MUCH PROG IN THE CHARTS.
:psyboom:
Some random dude on a review board. :psyboom:
It's funny because there'e no prog in the charts?
Prog hasn't been popular since the 70s and people are complaining about people liking it now? Foolishness if you asked me.
Prog hasn't been popular since the 70s and people are complaining about people liking it now? Foolishness if you asked me.
Justin Bieber is where it's at now, your inferior music should be thrown away.
Justin Bieber is where it's at now, your inferior music should be thrown away.
At least Bieber is borderline soul, I'll give him that. :3:
From my 9th grade history teacher: "Jethro Tull invented the seed drill, and Jethro Tull is also the name of a guy in the '60's who played heavy metal flute music." "Led Zeppelin was a one hit wonder with Stairway to Heaven." Also, my avatar was my face at the time.
Wow Murder your teacher it is the only way
Some random dude on a review board. :psyboom:
(i think it may be sarcasm :ssh:)
