Power metal is cheesy.
And that's why it's great. Respect the cheese.
I've even taken to calling power metal "cheese metal"
Blame MLP or something

I listen to Limp Bizkit or Slipknot on occasion, but never at all is any part of it for appreciating the music. This type of listening is for nostalgia'ing all over the place.
Please tell me you didn't just lump Slipknot and Limp Bizkit together.
I remember last year in music class where we had to do a small project in which we shared a song with the class and a bunch of info and crap to go along with it. One girl did this RHCP song and she said the song was written as a tribute to Kurt Cobain who died of a drug overdose.
This is truly morbidly depressing.
As punishment, you should make this stupid ass listen to the original performance of Requiem, countless classical pieces, Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence, In The Presence of Enemies, Octavarium, A Change of Seasons, The Divine Wings of Tragedy, The Odyssey, and Thick as a Brick.
No 2112 or The Whirlwind? :saddowns:
why

Because they're enjoyable lengthy songs.
enjoyable is completely debatable
just make yours a gay homophobic furry

I still love you.
My biggest problem with Slipknot is the fact that Joey Jordison is praised as a drum god. He's fast, not technical.
Joey Jordison with all his years of practise: kid banging on his mom's pans
Ukri 'Uge' Sevilehto at 16 destroys joey. and i won't even count tony laureano, george kollias, derek roddy, krimh, inferno, frost..

One thing I don't get about this thread is one person states "X person said X band is good" and you all scream opinions but occasionally you will state that a band is bad or awful i.e Justin Bieber and will state that certain bands i.e The Doors (which I agree with) are awesome without a doubt.
What I don't understand if you guys consider this purely subjective whats with this miscommunication?

To put it cleanly, it's foolishness. Any hatred for music. :smug:
However you like it or not.
But I have to agree to disagree with mainstream artists like Justin Bieber, people like him have barely any talent but have gained popularity through superficiality, espicially when there are other artists deserving of such popularity so I can understand the hatred towards someone like him.
I still love you.
:smug:
i wish you were a girl but that's cool 2
You'll find that i've never specified my gender.
You'll find that i've never specified my gender.
Now you ruined the fun.
You'll find that i've never specified my gender.
Bieber is a pawn.
Deal with it, the times where it was a truly diverse chart are over.
Watch where Yes' new album will hit the chart.
If they hit 30 in the UK I'll be amazed.
Just worry about the artists you truly like.. Despite them not getting the recognition they deserve.
It's not wrong to like popular artists although not as strong as the obscure ones. It's far too easy to hate.
My biggest problem with Slipknot is the fact that Joey Jordison is praised as a drum god. He's fast, not technical.
this is also an issue of mine with certain Metallica funboys. There is nothing wrong with being untechnical, hell, bands like the sex pistols made a career of that, but Lars is primarily aggressive and fast, not a whole of lot of technicality.

yeah i'd be amazed too considering the UK usually has some great artists on there
if i saw yes there i'd be like "wow the quality is definitely not there this time"

Yeah, I do like what hits the charts here actually. It's not a bad selection considering the times.
