:v: Sounds asshole-ish... But does make a point. [editline]12th April 2011[/editline] Hope he's being sarcastic.
[img_thumb]http://i51.tinypic.com/t560ep.png[/img_thumb] hnnggg
I'm 100% sure that's sarcasm. King Crimson fans aren't hipsters for the most part.
Which is weird because King Crimson honestly sounds like it would be fucking adored by hipsters
Which is weird because King Crimson honestly sounds like it would be fucking adored by hipsters
That album is getting truly popular now. I'm fairly sure most average listeners have seen the In The Court cover too. Hipster territory I think not! I do latch onto them a bit though, I've got all of their "hidden" albums :smug:
I'm 100% sure that's sarcasm. King Crimson fans aren't hipsters for the most part.

Which is weird because King Crimson honestly sounds like it would be fucking adored by hipsters
the fuck are you guys even talking about?
"FUCK YOU. LIL' WAYNE IS A TRUE FUCKING ARTIST. BETTER THAN COUNTRY" (reffering to mumford and sons)
not quite 'saying something' about the music, but I fucking hate this, and sorry if it's late, I can't possibly be the only one in the car, music playing on shuffle, generic and boring "it's there only because it's part of the album I like" music plays for a half hour with nobody talking at all, then finally, finally a song you love starts playing, you start to get into it and feel good for a few seconds and either: 1: the passenger immediately reaches over and turns the music all the way down to start telling you a stupid thing about what happened today/on the internet/girl problems/a dream they can't even remember 90% of 2: someone in the car starts mocking the song with loud, obnoxious singing/humming to get a point across that they want the song changed but are too much of an asshat to just say "hey can you skip this" 3: someone grabs your MP3 player from off your lap but has no idea how to operate it and ends up squeezing the volume button until it turns off, then turns the stereo up so loud you can hear the static of nothingness buzz through the car, says "fuck it" and whips out their own MP3 player to plug in, then turns on the most god-awful piece of shit they have at your stereo's maximum god forsaken volume lo and behold, whilst writing #2, my friend breaks a half hour's silence to ask me what I think about his girlfriend after humming annoyingly and doing a stupid dance to a song I like. fuck [editline]1:11[/editline] similarly, I can go for hours at my house or office in complete silence, hit that realization of "fuck where's my music", then 3 seconds later someone's yelling like a maniac for you to come do something and is all pissed because I "wasn't listening" more on topic, I remember someone telling a guy that "Rap music and country music is the same stuff sung by different people- it's all 'booty and cars'." Boy the guy got pissed, but the comparison made me chuckle
when i sing or hum obnoxiously to a song it's because i have huge amounts of fun doing it, i don't really do it to get any kind of point across like the other day i beatboxed to joanna newsom and last week i went HMMMMMMMM to bjork
there's a defining line between fun singing along and making high pitch retarded EUEUIEAEIEUUUGHHHGHHGH sounds for ten measures straight
I'm getting the sense that some here think it's dumb to listen to rap. I get cheesed off when I see this kind of thing.
This time last year I probably would have agreed. I'm glad I don't blindly hate on other genres anymore.
I'm getting the sense that some here think it's dumb to listen to rap. I get cheesed off when I see this kind of thing.
I'm a bit opposed to the more 'popular' stuff since it all feels the same or is a really bad re-hash of a popular 80's song, but I actually don't have a problem with the genre as a whole. Personally I lean more toward hiphop than rap, but if a song is good it's good. I know people who blindly hate a lot of music because it is rap/techno/etc but will happily listen to specific songs from X genre and say they love them without even realizing it is what it is. Most prevalent amongst people here is "OMG techno is so fucking repetitive and I hate the stupid computer instruments", followed by turning the volume up for Cascada and a number of rap songs that are more electronic than anything
Personally I lean more toward hiphop than rap, but if a song is good it's good.
Yeah, I pretty much talking about them both.
Anything positive about Linkin Park.
Anything positive about Lincoln Park.
:downs:
"Music is my life!" >Doesn't play instruments or write any music
one doesn't have to create music to admire it

My friends said that Avenged Sevenfold is amazing and "one of the greatest metal bands". Then I said something about how Dreamtheater is pretty good.(Understatement) "O WAT THE FUCK IZ YOUR PROBLEM ARE YOU A FAGGOT BECAUSE ONLY FAGGOTS LISTEN TO THAT ASSEY BAND." [editline]13th April 2011[/editline]
Someone said that this guy was rock/metal.
So hardcore!

HHHHNNNNNGGGGGGGGGG [editline]13th April 2011[/editline]
I'm getting the sense that some here think it's dumb to listen to rap.
and i personally love tyler the creator and GDP.
True genius. I need to hear more of his work.
Avenged Sevenfold are all actually really good talented musicians.
I find it annoying people call music "gay", what the fuck do they mean when they say x song/artist is "gay"? Because I get this every time from someone when I listen to Dream Theater.
I find it annoying people call music "gay", what the fuck do they mean when they say x song/artist is "gay"? Because I get this every time from someone when I listen to Dream Theater.
Yeah Freddie Mercury is so gay right :v:
