The Worst Thing You Have Ever Heard Someone Say About Music V2

In terms of production, yeah, bass is important. It's completely unrelated to the composition of the song though.
Are you talking about bass guitar or just bass in general?
I'm assuming bass in general.
Not having bass doesn't make it sound "boring", although most of the time it will make it sound hollow. There is no such thing as a "boring" sound, as boring (and 99% of other adjectives people use to describe music) deals with the listener, not the song itself.

It wasn't a rock song.
It was ambient, kind of techno.
In a recording, if the mix completely lacks a bottom end, then it feels... off, to listen to. No fault of the composition of course. Maybe I just have picky ears.
I'm not saying "Completely" lacks bottom end, but obviously some people would prefer overpowering bass on a track.
Bass does not equal depth of music.

Yeah, I see where you're coming from now. Since when did ambient techno have a lot of bass? :crossarms:

Maybe his sarcastic mind has foreseen all of this and he knows our every sarcastic step before we even make them...
The only way to beat him is to use sarcasm against his sarcasm that is used against ours.
Sarcasm against sarcasm against sarcasm.
