Nowadays people have gotten a bit dull so they would rather hear a good "beat" rather than a force of artistry. :smug:
why not enjoy both?
why not enjoy both?
Pretty much what I was getting at :3: I'm still trying to convince people that movies are not just "cheap thrills". :argh:
A good film should leave you with a lasting impression, perhaps even change the way you see the world.
A good film should leave you with a lasting impression, perhaps even change the way you see the world.
Then HORSE's 10.5 hour documentary is definitely a good film. :smug:
This Bubblegum Octopus album is doing quite great actually. :3: Very nice music.
This Bubblegum Octopus album is doing quite great actually. :3: Very nice music.
I know. :buddy: It's great progression from his previous album. As peet always says, "FORWARD PROGRESSION ALWAYS!"
I just realised it isn't popular. I'm one of the only 88 listeners :3:
Have you ever seen the movie called out in the wild? That movie sure changed my life, cause it made me understand how important my dad was.
Have you ever seen the movie called out in the wild? That movie sure changed my life, cause it made me understand how important my dad was.
Do you mean "Into The Wild"?
I just realised it isn't popular. I'm one of the only 88 listeners :3:
Well, it's fairly new, it's not physically released yet, and BgO is an underground artist with only 8500 listeners on last.fm. Strangely it seems like a lot of my friends knew of some of the songs from before though, because many people think it's "cute nintendocore".
Do you mean "Into The Wild"?
Yes, thats the one! Have you seen it?
Yes, thats the one! Have you seen it?
Will watch it tonight. Sean Penn is always awesome. [editline]26th April 2011[/editline]
because many people think it's "cute nintendocore".
Well I'm still fairly new to it, but so far I'm liking it. I wouldn't call what I'm listening to now Nintendocore at all though. :raise:
Have you ever seen the movie called out in the wild? That movie sure changed my life, cause it made me understand how important my dad was.
It's an awesome movie. Really great.
One of my friends once said that he doesn't listen to any music at all, which is really weird to me. Of course, he actually listens to Serbian nationalistic music. He's Slovenian :v:
I did like the movie "Milk" that he was in. Some great performances there. [editline]26th April 2011[/editline]
he actually listens to Serbian nationalistic music
:wtc:
people who don't know shit tend to tag everything that's -core/-grind mixed with electronics as nintendocore though
You mean it isn't!?!
"You only like Marvin Gaye, because you are GAY... MAUHAHAUHBUAHUAHAUHAHAH!!!!" :smith:
I actually get that a lot when people are browsing my music collection.
I actually get that a lot when people are browsing my music collection.
Just stare at them. Usually makes them look like an idiot.
I actually get that a lot when people are browsing my music collection.
How old are your friends?
How old are your friends?
I never said they were my friends, but they're not exactly the most mature people in the world.
How old are your friends?
The person who said the thing I quoted was 32 years of age.
The person who said the thing I quoted was 32 years of age.
With the mental age of a 12 year old?
With the mental age of a 12 year old?
Just a bit :buddy:
A good film should leave you with a lasting impression, perhaps even change the way you see the world.
True to an extent. Sometimes an album needs to be something powerful and expansive. Movies are the same. Sometimes they don't need to be, such is the same with movies. I don't want to watch Requiem for a Dream or Schindler's List every day, just like I don't always want to listen to MDK by Magma or Lateralus by Tool, sometimes I want to watch Commando or Anchorman, and sometimes I want to listen to Toto or Bon Jovi
It doesn't have to be "moving" to be good. Let's put it that way. I keep hearing from true listeners that if you get goosebumps by the music you listen to, then it is automatically great. Doesn't always work, people are different.
Anchorman was an awesome film but in no way was it moving
Exactly
Your music is gay. You should listen to As I Lay Dying. uhhh....
