The Worst Thing You Have Ever Heard Someone Say About Music V2
3,000 replies, posted
IT BOTH ANGERS AND SADDENS ME THAT THERE IS TOO MUCH BECAUSE IT MEANS THERE WILL ALWAYS BE GEMS I MISSED :emo:
You could probably spend your entire life just looking for hidden gems and listening to as much good music as you can, but you wouldn't find near all of it, there's so much music and it just keeps coming
By that logic, Justin Bieber has years of experience in music.
I was at a loss of words when he told me that, and was completely serious about what he said.
"The beatles didn't really do that much for music."
Uh.......
there is too much good music in the world to listen to all of it
I NEED MORE TIME
I was just thinking this. It's fucking irritating.
How about stop whining and JUST DO IT. :slick:
You know you're not trying hard enough!!

Hey man, I am constantly finding new bands and stuff. It makes it harder to listen to everything.

Finding new bands isn't enough. :smug:

You must submit yourself into the experience, and understand the glory. It's better to branch into new styles rather than another rehash of a genre, unless they're worthy and have something unique to offer.

I get the impression you have no idea what you're talking about.
It's even more funny because I read your posts with a posh english accent.

But the thing is, the post itself as an entity, works. :pcgaming:
"the genre matters? What matters is if you like it or not... Not what* genre it belongs too."
of course what genre it is matters, how else are you going to find similar things that you may like, if you don't know the genre?
ugh

translated in google translate and then somewhat fixed by me, from a friends facebook status
I do not know if I'm happy .. Little sister of 3 years, says that I must turn down the sound when I listen to Black Metal and when I listen to Punk she begins to dance and jump! .__.' Good and bad .. But I do not want kids, if they turned gangsta I would have the greatest disgust in my life T_T.
I think the same about kids .. Me and my boyfriend listen to black metal and like to hate on almost anything else (or, I also like other types of metal, punk and rock) - Imagine if we had a kid who liked pop and rap and such? KILL.

this is so stupid
they are gonna kill the kid for listening to pop and rap?
way to admonish any stereotypes regarding metal listeners.

So this guy is upset that his three-year-old sister wants him to turn down his black metal?

Girl actually, but yeah. I really wanted to say something, but I know it's no use so I just said "lol" and pretended not to care. :v:
It makes me sick to my stomach. I don't know why. :smith:
It's so ignorant in a really annoying way.
It's not the fact that it's ignorant, it's that they have closed their own doors on western society. If someone said that here they'd be cast aside.
Maybe I'm looking too much into it... but seriously, do they have any morals at all?

They just really like a certain type of music, even black metal fans are normal human beings
Plus I think I would count Norway as western society
I know the girl who posted the status has been going through an annoying "rebel" phase where she says and does stupid things like that. It's annoying on so many levels, but other than that she's a good friend...

I see no reason to hate someone for musical tastes.
They're young and ignorant, they just think that when you listen to metal you have to express your superiority over all the other absolutely terrible genres.
Plus they think they're being kvlt as fvck
Someone I work with said turntablism isn't music. D:
It isn't, in the same way a piano isn't music. PLAYING a piano is music, so the sounds you create by mixing tracks is music.
I once was talking to a couple of kids in my middle school regarding stereotypes in music genres. They agreed on me about how it's stupid to stereotype people for listening to rap, punk rock, etc. I got around to saying that just because someone listens to Death Metal doesn't make someone a psychopath, and before I got to finish that sentence they told me "What the fuck you listen to Death Metal? (note: I don't) You must be some psychopath or something!"
:downsbravo:
