I don't know what i'm talking about in what sense? please let me know because your just another moron on here that makes accusations without thinking. Also.. i stated he is contradicting himself because he is stating what HE thinks the future will be like at the same time calling other people uneducated for having the same ideals. you ignorant... incompetent fool.
What the hell are you ON about? I said you don't know what the hell you're talking about because you don't. You made an assumption about him, being uneducated. He's not contradicting himself because the people he was talking about had to facts to support their ideas. They just made it up. What he is saying is backed up by many facts, none of them imaginary.

I said that HE is calling people uneducated for having the same exact ideals of speculating what the future might be... what are you a troll? I waste my time even typing a response to such an idiotic person.
Everytime I think of the future I think of the game Deus Ex. I dunno why but it seems like a cool future to live in. I doubt honestly we'll be much different in 20 years then we are now. Maybe some better health drugs and more/less economic wealth but as far as tech goes. I don't know for sure though. In the 60's, computers probably seemed like an insane idea and look at us now.
Now you're just reverting to calling me a troll. Pathetic, you've lost the argument. You said that HE was uneducated for having the exact same ideals as a person from the 70's speculating that the future would have hovercars with no factual information to back it up, solely imagination. He, on the other hand, bases all of his vision on pure facts. They're not the same.
It doesn't matter on what people believed in the past. They didn't have computers as powerful as the ones we have now, which is revolutionizing everything and allowing us to make advance technology much quicker. Indeed, nanotechnology will be one such advancement in our lifetimes if scientists continue to work on such technology. Who knows what will happen in the next 50-100 years.

Id rather teach my dog algebra then sit here and argue.
guys stop fighting OMG this is a nice thread and dont need u nasty boys ruining it.......
We're not derailing it, what the fuck are you talking about?
We're not derailing it, what the fuck are you talking about?
Your not derailing it, but your starting an argument about something in it. Calm down, please.
In 10 years gas prices will soar up, natural resources will be on the brink of running out, there will probably be another big war, scientific progress will blunder, and there will probably be some act of extreme terrorism.
We're calm, and we're just having an argument. What else are threads for other than discussion? Oh wait, discussion includes argument.
In 10 years gas prices will soar up, natural resources will be on the brink of running out, there will probably be another big war, scientific progress will blunder, and there will probably be some act of extreme terrorism.
Depends on what happens in 10 years. I hope that we'll figure out how to successfully use Nuclear Fusion and replace all our current power generators with Fusion Reactors. Since it will produce more energy than what the reactor would use to sustain it, we would have unlimited energy.
We're not derailing it, what the fuck are you talking about?
where did i say derail.... ???
The future is a fucking fat as fuck lie. Where the fuck are my powered laces? Where the fuck is my hoverboard? Where the fuck is my flying car? Where are my clothes with built in computers? And where the hell is my 30 to 40 year life extension with new blood and shit maaaaaaaaan? Oh wait thats right it was all just a lie.
another thing i like people to think about is if nanobots do work and we can make what ever we want then there would be no use for money. think about it, air is free because there is so much of it what if we can just make food fast and easy using nanobots are cars, computers, whatever etc of course this would ruin the econimy and rich people would try to outlaw nanobots because its like pirating but with real life stuff. but with nanobots we can use them to do are jobs for us, imagine never having to go to work are never having to worry about money. there would be alot less crime and everyone would be happier.
Was listening to this as I read OP.
I want my hovercar damnit. :saddowns:
I'd like to see these irl one day imo:
Length: 1,190 metres (A kilometer in length :wtc:) Mass: 100,000 tons Engine unit(s): Deuterium Core Reactor Slipspace Drive: Shaw-Fujikawa Translight Engine Shielding: None Hull 191cm Titanium-A Battle Plate Navigation system AI or NAVCOM Armament * 2 Magnetic Accelerator Cannons * Oversized Archer Missile pods(60 missiles each) * 50 mm Point Defense Guns * 5 Fusion Rockets Complement * 24 C709 Longsword-class interceptors * Pelican dropships * Marines * ODSTs * HEVs * Warthogs * Scorpions * Hornets
I want to fly to another solar system in my personalized space craft, god damn it. Fuck you, physics. :smith:
Fucking Nanotechnology, How does it work?
And in the 70's they said we'd have hover cars by now. Predictions and speculation about the future as far as technological advancements are pointless. And what is the point of this thread? What I see is a bunch of pointless speculation relatable to fanfiction.
We're capable of making them and we already have but most people don't want to fall to their deaths because some drunk idiot rammed em. [editline]09:00AM[/editline]
another thing i like people to think about is if nanobots do work and we can make what ever we want then there would be no use for money. think about it, air is free because there is so much of it what if we can just make food fast and easy using nanobots are cars, computers, whatever etc of course this would ruin the econimy and rich people would try to outlaw nanobots because its like pirating but with real life stuff. but with nanobots we can use them to do are jobs for us, imagine never having to go to work are never having to worry about money. there would be alot less crime and everyone would be happier.
You do know what a nanobot is right?
It would take hundreds of years minimum to terraform a planet, and there's no chance whatsoever that untrained civilians will be allowed to fly to Mars. right now, that takes a couple of months.
The future is a fucking fat as fuck lie. Where the fuck are my powered laces?
Might be doable. In 30 years or so, but the cost would probably be too high for most people. I suppose nanotech and claytronics could do the trick. Good luck creating a battery that can support them.
Where the fuck is my hoverboard?
There have been experiments, something about using gravitomagnetic coils for antigravity. But the hoverboard would prolly be ten times the size and carry its own nuclear fusion reactor.
Where the fuck is my flying car?
Don't consider them practical, so it might never get done. At least not in the foreseeable future :saddowns:
Where are my clothes with built in computers? :woop:

What? They don't even exist in any useful application. And no, you probably couldn't make everything out of a horde of nanometer wide silicon robots.
I swear to God, we should just have a "What I think will happen in the future" megathread or subforum. These threads have been cropping up a lot lately.
Agree'd Its filling up the forums :(
