Yeah I feel pretty lucky to have been able to read it without knowing literally a single thing beforehand other than what was presented on the first page.
Oh yes, brilliant voice acting. SHAUN SHAUN SHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUN

it's kind of impossible NOT to know they exist, unfortunately, as the internet is kind of swarmed with content about Homestuck.
no stop shield your eyes bbz i will protect you
Yeah I feel pretty lucky to have been able to read it without knowing literally a single thing beforehand other than what was presented on the first page.
I saw the art for Alterniabound on the main page when I was doing my first readthrough, I thought that Rose and John would turn into Terezi and Karkat eventually (fuck if I know why). I was really happy when that didn't happen. Other than that though it felt really cool to discover all of the stuff in the webcomic with pretty much no knowledge of it otherwise, I am glad that the dude who got me into it never spoiled anything, he basically just kept telling me to read it.
i was reading mspa since before homestuck started lol wtf is spoilers
All I knew about Hamsteak is that TV Tropes never shut up about it, and that it was about the apocolypse, and that the Trolls had a blood caste system with Karkat having red blood that was supposed to make him a mutant. To be honest, what I knew about it gave me a completely different idea of what the Trolls would be like.
Going into Homestuck after hearing about it from some of my friends and girlfriend, I only knew about the existence of the trolls, but not about anything else. Well, unless the music counts. That's what really got me into finally reading it.
The music is certainly a plus. Instrumental is always nice, but the recent lack of videogame-esque sounding music makes me feel sad.

So many problems with this image. I feel like this person was just given a description of Rose and what the scene looked like from a hyperactive fangirl's perspective. At least get the Seer outfit right.
I miss when it was real simple, just a guy dicking about and playing games with his friends. Still a good comic, though.
I had the most fun with Homestuck from acts 1-3, to be honest. Mostly because of the constant gags, badicool strifes, and memorable music.
The only thing about the earlier stuff I particularly miss is the sense of grandeur. Stuff like descend or... or like this http://www.mspaintadventures.com/?s=6&p=001982 It's kind of ironic given that now we're getting all these big walk-around flashes with all these new characters which are ultimately about getting a group together to kill an unkillable demon; in it's most superficial terms, things are larger than life, yet those earlier portions feel so much more like part of something larger. ...but then, it can't be like that all the time. Maybe something will happen soon to change my mind.
Sburban Jungle/Derse Dreamers/Black Rose-Green Sun are not helping my urge to reread homestuck for the purpose of a comprehensive Rose analysis/appreciation essay

I actually like it more as the story progresses. Apparently I'm weird. I like all of it, don't get me wrong, but I think for the most part that the stuff which has the most buildup just gets better and better. My least favorite part is actually Hivebent, which is kinda why I find it so perplexing that people adore the trolls and ignore the kids a lot. Although Hivebent is still cool (it's just my least favorite among immensely good parts) ultimately it seems kinda unnecessary and long since most of the important stuff happens post-hivebent or through flashback and it kinda felt like it dragged on.
Why is rose not wearing any pants?
Whoever drew this seems to have gotten the seer outfit confused with a dress, and Rose confused with the type of person who draws this kind of thing on Tumblr. My favorite act is Act 3 because of the way we discover: 1. Jade is completely different from how she was presented in Acts 1 and 2 2. The concept of dream selves and Prospit 3. Bec and how old he is etc 4. a bunch of other things i forgot about But I do not miss it: the story has to evolve and continue however it may. It is inevitable that we would reach a moment in which we know almost everything there is to know, and one day, there will be nothing new left to discover.
That spooky ghost page is bothering me. Also hivebent sucked.
ok wrong but ok
Can't do anything about the gif, sorry.
I wonder if we'll learn more about the bloodfester throes when we learn more about the Horrorterrors. Though that will be tangled up in the web of English and Scratch I imagine.
I think I pretty much accidentally stumbled on to homestuck when it started. One of my friends linked me to Sweet Bro and Hella Jeff and suddenly, I explored more of the site just to see what was going on there.
Dragon's brilliant OP is what got me into MSPA. So glad it was that, because I remember it saying a bunch of stuff like to read PS first, had a bunch of awesome music links and intrigued you without giving anything away. In other news, amazon is fucked and my payment went through on paypal. Hussie now owns all my 600 dollars. [editline]6th October 2012[/editline] Updoot
I like how he's just looking at her like "well this is awkward"
Well she's a chitinous one-armed dog angel in rags who's like a foot taller than him. I'd say that's pretty imposing compared to little ol' Jack.
I'm waiting for her to remember John.
