So I think the blood aspect must be related to human interaction, with Kankri being the seer and knowing all about social systems etc. Karkat being the knight is able to settle any bad blood like when he calmed Gamzee down with papshooshing. Knights are supposed to directly use their aspect to protect their team so that kinda makes sense.
