I certainly think the orchestral stuff has it's place. Next to Black, Descend is probably my favorite song/flash in the entire comic. But Descend wasn't purely an Orchestral piece. It mixed the styles of all the kids (Dave's beats, John's piano, Rose's violin, and Jade's orchestral stuff, as well as mixing in electronic sounds and even a few licks from Black on sax). Jane: Enter was similar. It took influence from piano and orchestra, but it also had a swig of retro and even Asian influence??? That's what I miss the most honestly

Fun Fact: Toby is responsible for a lot of the more memorable melodies in Homestuck. He wrote a bunch of themes for pretty much every character. And then he wrote Penumbra Phantasm.
I don't think anyone outside of the music team has actually heard Penumbra Phantasm, but it is responsible for so much music. Go listen to Umbral Ultimatum, then FantasyP. You'll be able to hear the similarities. That is because both incorporate Penumbra Phantasm.

Oh yeah I could play it fine, and I thought it was pretty cool, there were some kind of annoying things but since it was a text adventure there's stuff you can't really "fix".
But it was fun and diverting and that was nice
