I remember the hat being made of a Matriorb. I'm sure if Jane alchemized her item recycler thing with her recipe modus it could break down items into their ingredients. The only problem is getting her to give up the hat.
Actually you can just make a new one out of simpler ingredients and then break that down, unless the hat is really a JuJu, which it seems to have all the characteristics of (Aka appearing fucking everywhere for no discernible reason).
Does that mean all pumpkins are juju?
Nah, there can be only one true juju in one universe at any given time. I'd guess one particular hat has made the rounds in one form or another in each universe (except cherub which is not fully explored). Jane has one, John had one, and Aradia had one (which was previously John's and appeared with Lil Cal). Dad also had one but he's a game constant and I don't think his counts as the same object. This is pure speculation though. That Juju's power is to make people look hard boiled and awesome. Well remember, Dirk used his brain captchalogue to make the autoresponder somehow. And Dave_ebubbles doesn't seem terribly complicated to me, they're just memories of everything he's said
you have to get rid of the feature=player_detailpage&
Also, am I the only one who thinks it'd be a good idea for TellTale Games to make the Homestuck Game? They're really faithful to the source material in their games. EDIT: There we go.
Hell fucking no, Tell Tale needs to stop having a stranglehold on the adventure game market, everything they put out feels like the same game with new skins (barring maybe the walking dead since I haven't played it). Most of their games are also episodic and rather short (even with multiple episodes).
So I'm making my way through the comic... Karkat seems to be using Windows 8. :v:
they get the original writers of the source material to write the game, which is cool also that's p. much all adventure games ever, they're all really similar just like any genre
That's not necessarily true. I played a lot of Lucas arts, sierra, and even Humungous entertainment adventure games as a child (Freddie fish and Put-Put represent), and each of them, while methodically paced, all had their own style. Like you said, the writing is great since it's all written by the guys who do the source material (and I'd hope Hussie wouldn't even consider a company that didn't let him write most of the dialogue), but that still leaves the dev team with the sluggish gameplay and animations that they always seem to incorporate. There are many fast paced scenes that shouldn't have the telltale Telltale pause before every new action that the player takes. I don't doubt that there's going to be long ass blocks of text in the homestuck game that will slow down pacing, because undoubtedly there is since it's part of the comic, and that's fine, but homestuck is also very much a visually titillating comic, and that's something I just don't think Telltale can pull off with their mediocre graphics quality and poor set piece scenery. Also, neither Sam & Max nor Tales of Monkey Island (I honestly don't remember strongbad's cool game very well but I'm pretty sure it applies too) actually ever sounded like the characters were having a fluid, in person conversation with each other, it always sounded like the voice actors were in a room at different times and their lines were spliced together, which is probably the case since a lot of companies do that, but there's much better splicing done in other games. The individual performances are fine, but put together they're a little wonky. Homestuck probably won't be voiced, so I doubt that this will be an issue but if it is they are the last company I'd want handling it. The layout of levels is also usually an issue for me, since the perspective gives a series of small walk around areas it ends up feeling rather claustrophobic. I never feel like I'm on a larger world, and the player path is all too evident since there's little to no actual exploration except from where you're told to go. The worlds also always feel rather empty, with nothing but important puzzle pieces being in their respective areas. Hussie's love for sticking in frivolous shit in the back and foreground would be lost and the world would feel less alive. There are plenty of good things that Telltale does, the puzzles are usually very good and they cast adequate voice actors in the roles that need speaking, but for an often unexpected, complex and visual story like homestuck I don't think I'd go with them.
well not many games have a plot as inpenetrable and messy as homestuck maybe like mgs
well not many games have a plot as inpenetrable and messy as homestuck maybe like mgs
That's not really that point though, the plots in Tell Tale games are fine to a certain degree since they consult with the source artists (Although tales of monkey island was a little silly for my tastes even by Monkey island standards). My problem is with how they execute the gameplay, animations, voice direction, and aesthetic of the world.
fair enough i'm just saying that i don't think any dev would be able to translate HS's plot well, cus not even the creator can
Yeah, I get that, but that's all the more reason to not let Telltale have it in my book since they won't be able to capture the feel of the story either. Like I said, visual grandiose is a big part of Homestuck, hence the planetary shots and largeness of it all. Telltale thrives at the micro level, not the macro and I doubt they could pull that or any other aspect of the universe off well.
a quick question from a reader who just finished act four last thursday: has dave bleated like a goat yet? that's really all i want to know.
Homestuck: where reading 4 out of 6 acts means you are not even close to finishing
oh btw enjoy the monster that is act 5 (it's all worth it don't worry)
Act 5 starts with a troll messing around in his room and talking to a juggalo and ends with a scratch. [editline]29th October 2012[/editline] http://alinajames.tumblr.com/post/34483619411/me-as-porrim-maryam-erotic-photoset-we-did-for I what. This redeems literally every horrible thing I have ever posted.
I... disagree entirely. Something about that screams AAAAAAAH every time I see it, and yes it's been floating around a while. I know, it's the hair, it's fake as shit and too high up. Also what he linked is a Porrim nudestuck.
at least it isn't Neputa's butthole. Also yeah you should probably NSFW that.
