I think it's just that the fandom took the title of the song I Remem8er You and applied it to John + Vriska, and that was a subtle jab by Hussie at the people who thought John was going to just forget Vriska altogether (as would sort of make sense after 2 years)

I feel like the Alpha kids should have at least an act just to develop and screw around before we get anywhere in the story. At this point I think we've spent more time with the regular cast than with them.

I really love the Alpha kids. Hell, it'd probably wrong for me to say this, but I kind of like them even more then the original crew.
This is where I come into agreeing with you. I would have loved to have some Act 1-2 act-a-like space for the kids. There's still a lot of stuff we could know about them(I mean after all, they may have more resemblance to the adults then the new trolls do to the original ancestors, but there's just so much more that could go). It's sad the end is already nearing. I feel like it's almost all gonna get rushed.

Homestuck is anything but rushed. We're already past a year or so longer then Andrew originally said. I think he let the fanbase influence him a little too much honestly and will kind of be glad to see things start wrapping up.
Considering it was only supposed to last a year...
