Kurloz told Gamzee to see and train Caliborn. Kurloz is the Prince of Rage. Princes destroy their aspect or destroy through their aspect. Rage is the aspect of deceit and treachery. Kurloz sent Gamzee to his death, ultimately destroying rage. Just my theory.
