You watch/follow/whatever the correct term for it on Tumblr is some artist or person who happens to read it, who, this being Tumblr, naturally talks about it or makes fanart of it. Through the re-posting or whatever it's called feature, it creates a Degrees of Kevin Bacon effect that means you're eventually going to find somebody talking about it.

The only person whom I know likes Homestuck is my best bro and he doesn't actively talk about it, outside of things like a quick comment or two when a significant update rolls around.

I met one guy who reads homestuck, who's my age, and doesn't ship. he's a total bro. met him fucking randomly at this big group of dudes playing magic the gathering and he saw my gamzee shirt and asked about it.
literally every other homestuck fan I've met in my town (or seen) has been like 15 and obnoxious it's such a good feeling
The people at my school who read Homestuck are pretty cool. They're both long term readers, starting around mid 2011. They both aren't [I]too[/I] crazy. One of them is my girlfriend. They're both a lot better than some of the people I meet at meetups. I don't even ask who's actually read the comic or not. I'd rather not know. There are some [B][I]really young[/I][/B] people (read: 11 to 13) who show up to these meetups.

My 12 year old sister has read Homestuck and yet people who are older can't?

My girlfriend reads Homestuck. It's pretty sweet. She's the only one I have to talk to about it. I had two of my friends reading it but one dropped out around Cascade and the other stopped somewhere not long after [S] Unite Synchronization. What a bummer, right at the best part, really? I also got another of my friends to start reading it and he liked it I think but hes just too lazy to go read it.

Somehow I feel this is how it's meant to be.
I'm pretty much the only one who reads homestuck in my group of friends, My brother keeps trying to get into it but always gives up.
Would be cool to meet someone who reads it but not obsessed with it IRL.
There's this weird girl in my school, I don't think she's actually read Homestuck but she goes on tumblr a lot or something, and I showed up in a Dave shirt and since she's buddies with a couple of my buddies, I ran into her, and now every time she sees me she calls me "Homestuck" and mocks me about like, what my favorite ship is and stuff.
The really weird part is that I don't even talk about Homestuck, so it kind of gets on my tits, actually.
the only people i know personally that like homestuck are girls but we never discuss it past how much people flip out over colored noses on tumblr
there was a shitstorm on one of their tumblrs recently just because they brought it up.
