I have this feeling that the alternate Calliope might be Lord English, and that Caliborn turns out to be the weapon against him/her.

Actually alternate [I]Caliborn[/I] (the dude) is basically lord English at this point and [I]Calliope[/I] (the chick) is the weapon against him :3
Though it would be a unique twist if LE turned out to be Calliope, who was consumed by JuJu brought on by the clowns, and became an insane time-destroyer.
But that would explain basically nothing so it's not a valid theory :3
