Also, I can't help but think that this alt UU is bad news, simply because she was strong-willed enough to predominate Caliborn, which in turn possibly suggests a significantly different personality from "our" UU. And from what another said, the most perfect villiain you could get in a story about growing up is one who never, ever can grow up. And Caliborn and alt-Calliope are both this, unlike the "truely united" adult Cherub that Calliope wishes she could have become.
Unless of course, Caliborn is defeated by uniting with the equally strong-willed alt-Calliope? Except it would not be defeat, at least in the anniliation sense. It also neatly avoids the indestructibility issue.
(oh, and also, all this not-growing-up stuff basically makes Caliborn Peter Pan I believe.)
