I assumed it was Gamzee attempting to sabotage the kid's session by giving their spirit guides the most useless combinations. Erisol and Tavris were made because of their conflicting personalities, Fefeta is a combination of two insignificant characters in to one character that is so insignificant that she can't even speak, and Arquius is too damned vain to be of any use at all.
