I'm perfectly willing to wait on this game a little longer if it means homestuck gets a proper non rushed ending
I wouldn't really be paranoid about it being rushed due to the game. Act 6 Act 5 was deliberately meant to start the day before the kids and trolls arrived, and now it's ramping up into action.
Jake would be a better character to me if he was smarter than Homer Simpson, since right now he takes idiot hero to entirely new levels I thought weren't possible.

-he wasnt the main character

he was like a super cool plot device masquerading as a character. if he was like one of the four most major characters it'd be fucking boring. but he's not.
now that's all changed and he actually has some depth
Nearly all the characters have depth to them. Even some of the new trolls that were present for just one set of flashes had the potential for character development (that will probably not be utilized because who cares). Feferi is kind of one of the few characters in which not much happens.

i never noticed how inconsequential nepeta was until way after the fact. it's a special kind of writing skill to deceive you into thinking an unimportant joke character is important in some way
