Yeah, I really dislike their representations of john and jade more than the fact that it's nsfw.
Brown hair john is fine and all, but removing glasses and iconic wear from the comic takes away everything that makes him john eggbert.

i hate literally everything pancakestein does because of the way she rewrites the characters
it's not even the fandom style of narrowing a character down to one easily exploited character aspect, her idea of the canon characters has absolutely nothing in common with their actual counterparts besides the look

If people kept everything in character all the time there'd be no fanart of John being upset about his dad dying.
It's not like homestuck-headcanons where people actually try and refute whats actually shown in the comic.
there's a difference between making the characters do something totally rational that they didn't actually do (or irrational if gamzee is the subject) and guising your original characters as the established protagonists
There's also it's just a silly comic and at no point did the author think "damn why doesn't this happen in the comic???" because they know it doesn't tie in with their actual personalities.

Looks like the dude's fantroll was revamped with the help of a few peeps to make him look his best before he gets shoved in.
Pretty neat, but I still don't care for it too much.
