I'm sure he edited Rose's Squiddle to make the Skull. What I'm not sure about is whether he intentionally meant to connect the two?
The Skull and Squiddle represent Lord English and the Horrorterrors, obviously. The Horrorterrors are being destroyed by Lord English, but these symbols and Lil' Cal seem to suggest that they're connected somehow.
How and why, I don't know. Also make note: Rose had the Horrorterror symbol, and became an emissary of sorts for the Horrorterrors. What if Jake serves a similar purpose for LE? The obvious links between Jake English and Lord English have already been made in comic. What purpose could Jake possibly serve LE?
