Anyone who thinks that all post-dubstep/future garage is boring should hear Submotion Orchestra. They've got influences from all over the board, most notably jazz and trip-hop but they fall into a very post-dubstep sound, check them out, in my opinion they're one of the only post-dubstep artists that are truly progressing the genre. We were always bound to get people upset, but that's the sacrifice we make. Rather than a huge plate of hate, it's better to give and discover new things. Besides, this is more a dubstep-fusion kind of thing.
Hell yeah SBTRKT. I could listen to his stuff all day. In fact sometimes I do.
Also funny how your top listens are James Blake and Burial. :v:
So what? A lot of artists I listen to put out a few ep's and singles a year. That combined is like 20x as much as artists like sbtrkt, james blake, or burial. I don't hate them, I actually like them clearly. I think people like to sweep the real (ealier sound) dubstep under the rug because they don't really get it. It's totally "club" music in the sense that it way more enjoyable in a sound system environment (more than any other "club" music and pretty high up there compared to traditional band music) It's a entire mood of music that people just pass over as being slow and boring, but it's more about being dark, spacey, and "heady". The subbass in the songs is the driving force like how brostep has it's wobbles and pop remixes.
I didn't take Skream into account because I didn't listen to it that much, but then again I've found out he's not actually THAT old. Only 5 years ago.
SKream is about as old as dubstep it's self. He's been in the dubstep scene as long as it's been alive (beginning in ruffly 2002 with the genre's name, with the early Tempa/Big Apple releases, and Horsepower Productions stuff at that time). Like I said earlier his first release was in 2003 with benga http://www.discogs.com/Benga-Skream-The-Judgement/master/112100 and was still in the traditional 2 step beat. 9 Years in an extremly fast moving scene is a lot compared to 5 (Stop gauging stuff on albums and highly praised EP's! PLEASE)
Sacrifice you make? For what?
For people to find this stuff. Also to gain the word dubstep some more respect. [editline]13th December 2011[/editline]
..
I simply don't like the fact that dubstep/and other club music, is being known as "generic club music just to render an atmosphere". There has to be more to it otherwise I'll never be interested in a certain artist.

It'll help you see more than just the outlines to the genre.

You may as well have posted that in the actual dubstep thread.

Free album: http://www.archive.org/compress/acp063_wAgAwAgA_-_Jinjanoon_Bus Inspired, but not noticed. There are jazz sounds here that are fused with all these styles of dub and old jungle styles. Damn good.
why? it's a hell of a lot better than post-dubstep.
I hope that's a joke. Post dubstep actually makes a lot of sense and Future Garage doesn't.
Future Garage =
Somewhat disagree. But really, it's hard to give it an apt name because the music draws inspiration from many different genres.
I personally don't care what it's called. It's Dubstep Fusion to me.
