My first glitch attempt

When my friend tries to save .raw files with photoshop it just corrupts them and they look something like this when opening in photoshop with no editing:

Any clue what might cause that?

make sure the resolution is set the same as the original photo, otherwise it will look like a mumble jumble of things
Yeah the resolution is correct.
Edit:
He fixed it by updating to CS6.

Apparently this is what Photoshop.exe looks like as an image (I shrunk it down massively in size).
If you have a slow connection you might want to skip over it.
look at my avatar :D
Just made this

I'm curious as to how you did that.

My guess, glitched the same image multiple times in multiple ways, seeing what worked and what didn't, then making them all layers of a gif.
Had done this for another thread, but I'll post it here since it's related.

Also here are some wallpapers I've glitched:

Edit: I didn't use the instructions that were given in the OP, I used a different way to glitch the image, as I failed at using it with audacity.

how did you get the horizontal distortion?
how did you get the horizontal distortion?
Not really sure, I do the images differently, rather than using audacity, I use wordpad instead, as it just glitches the image for me without doing anything to it.
This should be a new art form!
It's already considered as one. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glitch_art
And also from that wiki article was this, thought it was pretty cool:

I did something slightly different, I opened the following song that I made:
https://soundcloud.com/jackhollister/faerie-sodalis
Saved it as a .raw in audacity
Opened in photoshop:

Then saved it as a .tif and flipped the X and Y resolution, restarted photoshop so it would open the image afresh, then saved the image back as a .raw to then open in audacity and this was born:

I haven't got a clue how it managed to retain the audio after becoming a image.
its just the data represented in an image form. the software wont reorder, corrupt or switch anything, it will just show the data in another format, so of course youll still hear a couple of things here and there. How it got so distorted though, thats something I dont really know
