WINNERS DON'T USE DRUGS
Oh hey, I'm using the original of that as the splash-screen for my game. Anyhow, how do you save .RAW's in gimp?

What kind of effects are you using for Audacity? I usually just cut and past different parts, add a bit of phaser and shit, but I don't make it too much because then it would be irrecognizable. And if you're using the notepad, are you overall getting better results? I feel that its a bit more unpredictable, thats why I'm not bothering to explore that right now
this is the same method that 4chan uses to get viruses into images, right?
Isn't this similar to how the Portal 2 ARG was done? Images converted into sound? Kind of cool how this all works, and it makes me wonder if, in another time and place, the Internet could have been entirely sound-based over the telephone...
You mean Dial-up? We had that... But light moves much faster than sound. [editline]23rd April 2012[/editline]
this is the same method that 4chan uses to get viruses into images, right?
totally.
Instant album covers for experimental albums
I tried to do something. That was fun.
I can't open the image in gimp after I have edited it in audacity.

know any method to get rid of these particles? It would really really help
[t]http://i.imgur.com/a6OjM.jpg[/t] a glitch of a skull I did months ago. Maybe I'll sell something similar as a poster once I get to clean everything, but this was interesting
I cropped a section twice the size of my monitor and shrunk it to 50% as a wallpaper.
I used Phaser. [editline]26th April 2012[/editline] I just tried doing it in reverse - using a sound, edit it in photoshop and open it in Audacity again. It sounded like shit.
This is pretty cool, reminds me of this in an Aphex Twin song.
Now if only paint.net could save .raw I am too poor for photoshop :(
save the file as a .png and open it with notepad, change a few characters in the text around, and save it - you will see HUGE differences by changing even one character.
Glitch art is pretty awesome when done right, Rob Sheridan (art/creative director for NIN) is a perfect example of this. Some of his work: [img_thumb]http://www.rob-sheridan.com/wallpaper/slip1b.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://www.rob-sheridan.com/wallpaper/TSN_wp3_16-10.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://www.nin.com/thespiral/pics/bleedthrough.jpg[/img_thumb]
Nine Inch Nails fuck yeah. Funny what the addition of a single period can do. I should try playing with the encoding, could either screw it up entirely or make some interesting results. I'm using ImageMagick for this, it can output to raw RGB/RGBA formats, then convert that back to whatever.
christ, all I did was add two letters

did this a couple of weeks ago, was thinking of selling it as a poster in my upcoming shop, what do you guys think? edit, its on https://society6.com/DenisLiang/Shatters-Glitch_Print
It looks neat and I'd like to know what you used.
what mine? Its pure glitch. Glitched it once, then I turned it 90º and tilted it a bit and did the same thing. A lot of trial and error.
