you have to input the resolution of the original image.
also, when you mess with it in Audacity, you can't alter how long the sound clip is, if you make the sound shorter by changing tempo or deleting bits you'd be removing parts of the image and it won't have enough to fill the input resolution (i think)
Couldn't get GIMP and Audacity to work, so I used notepad++ instead.

Took a photo of a 5 dollar bill, and edited it with Notepad++ by replacing every instance of at with random gibberish.

turns out the notepad++ trick will be altered depending on what host you use, sometimes.

It could be that it's in grey-scale.
make sure you have 3 non-interlaced layers when you export from Photoshop. And when you importo it to PS again, make sure it has 3 layers for RGB, but there's room for a lot of playing around
