It's like the only thing people on here listen to is heavy metal.
Not that i have something against metal but it kind of reminds me of all the horrible CoD video's with their 'badass' sound tracks.

I mean, Try hardstyle, Trance or Techno for once.

Nothing wrong with hardstyle. Everybody in the Netherlands listens to it. Just search up some great dj's like headhunterz. The party's are awesome. Like one big community.

so apparently anything that isn't generic electronic music is heavy metal? ok man
there's only been like 2 posts in this thread including anything that vaguely counts as metal
mine:
LCD Soundsystem - LCD Soundsystem
Karnivool - Themata
Radiohead - In Rainbows
The Strokes - Is This It
Death From Above 1979 - You're a Woman, I'm a Machine
In The Court Of The Crimson King by King Crimson
Oh, By The Way by Pink Floyd (fuck you its not cheating)
Deconstruction by Devin Townsend
Cowboy Bebop OST by Yoko Kanno
The Protomen by The Protomen
No particular order.
Opeth - Damnation
Opeth - Blackwater Park
Pink Floyd - The Wall
Portishead - Third
Alchemist - Organasm
Though I would certainly sorely miss all of my albums.
You know, I expected this to be a LOT harder to accomplish. But, really, these 5 albums just fell out. I mean, Damnation was a downright absolute - it's possibly one of my favorite albums of all time. I also absolutely needed a Pink Floyd album, and I personally do think I like The Wall most out of their discography.
I naturally needed some harsher Opeth, since I already had Damnation, and I ended up picking Blackwater Park over Deliverance (it was a tie between the two) because, to be completely honest, I think the songs on Blackwater Park are a lot more interesting than on Deliverance.
I didn't even plan to add it, but Portishead's Third just forced itself into the list, without any real conscious thought. It's a very good album to chill out to, and I'd probably fall to sleep to it.
The last album was the hardest to choose. I wanted to pick something different than what I already had. I finally picked Organasm because, I mean, how can you go wrong with didgeridoos?
I might try sneaking Fractal Gates' Altered State of Consciousness through customs as a sixth album though.
