Fuck you guys ruined film & tv for me
I haven't read the books, which is odd, considering they are pretty much required reading for Christian children :P Anyway, I enjoyed the movies. I enjoyed them because of the Christ allegory (well, the first one is like that - not much in the second one), however, my sister didn't even notice it, so I guess that's good, or bad, depending on your point of view. I didn't read the books, so I don't know what the allegory is like in the books, but here is what I noticed, and remember. Haven't seen it for two years. -Aslan is a lion. Jesus is called the Lion of the tribe of Judah -Aslan wrote the "deep magic" before the creation of everything. Jesus wrote the Word before the creation of everything -In Narnia, an innocent one can take the place of the guilty. In the Bible, Jesus Christ took the place of sinners condemned. -Aslan is shaved. Jesus had his beard plucked out -Aslan was chained to a stone tablet. Jesus fulfilled the law of God in His life (the law written and engraved on stone tablets) and in His ressurection, destroyed the believers relationship to the law of condemnation. -Aslan died for Thomas the rebel. Jesus died for the whole world of sinners and rebels. -Aslan rose from the dead. Jesus rose from the dead. And so on. There is probably more in the book, but that stood out for me in the film. But Santa shows up too... so Narnia is a wacky place! Much lighter than Lord of the Rings. Also, this isn't the same order as the books. TLTWATW is the 2nd book. Prince Caspian is the third book, and the voyage of the dawn treader is the fifth book.
They're doing the current casts characters stories first so they don't get too old. [editline]11th December 2010[/editline] First one was fair I guess. Second one was meh. Third one actually managed to escape my attention entirely. I pretty much just found out about it just yesterday. Dawn treader is probably my favorite of the books though so I might see it sometime. Hoping they don't rape it.
Eh, I'm gonna ruin it the very ending for those who didn't like the films or books, [sp]the ending is that the original characters actually died in that train in the second film, I think, and now they await the pearly gates of heaven[/sp]
Book 7 is just a bunch of fuck disregard that.

I saw the actor who plays Prince Caspian on Thursday :v: He was acting in the play adaptation of Birdsong, he's a brilliant actor :3: sounded pretty clever in the Q&A session afterwards alongside the director of the play and writer of the book
I only saw the first one, it was okay. I'd prefer to have seen The Magician's Nephew though. That was my favourite one.
Yeah hopefully that'll be adapted first after they finish the main cast story. You know what, hopefully these will flop and someone else will adapt it.
just saw the 3rd narnia movie i thought it was way better than the second one.
I don't think they will make more Narnia movies. The latest one only made 8.6 million on Friday. Maybe another studio will take over though.
