But as I already said, anyone defending Halo's use of 'sir' (Including me) was wrong anyways, If Halo is based off the US Military, then they're wrong, all branches use Ma'am instead of sir for Female officers. But this isn't unheard of in Fictional universes, Star Wars and Star Trek (except for the later seasons of Voyager) do it as well. The longer time goes by the more I'm hearing of these new studies that come out that point out that some of the things we see in the games and novels may be possible after all like warp speed etc.
