It's been a very long time since I watched the trilogy, but I thought the last one established that Trinity was the one?

nah she fell in love with he one (aka neo). which again disproves the smith theory since the oracle told trinity she'd fall in love with the one.
the oracle is probs just bullshitting though
Haha yeah bro headcanon is fine!
Totally not insinuating you think know the creator's creation better than they do at all!
Skewing the truth is inherently a shitty thing to do. Doing it with stories like this subsequently skews their themes and meanings which is a VERY shitty thing to do. It's not just misinforming people but directly offending the creators themselves.
How about I find something you're deathly passionate about, cook up some crackpot theory that you know for is wrong/misinforming and then call you butthurt when you start complaining?
Funny because art is made with the intention of being interpreted

Not always. Art can be made with a hidden message/meaning or it can be made just because.
I dont know how anyone could not think Neo isnt the one. His name is an anagram for it for starters lol.
Oracle straight up says it, scene was already posted. Neo becomes the anomaly and the one at the end of the first matrix when he dies. That and maybe the fact the 3rd movie ends with Neo fulfilling the ones purpose and saving Zion, stopping the machines, and bringing peace.
Pretty major plot elements shit all over this, so major you dont even need to deconstruct them, they straight up tell you clear as day. You can have your fun but I mean the movies are right there clear as day. I mean a major focus of all 3 movies is Neo becoming the One and understanding it himself. This shit reminds me of "Is link dead in Majoras Mask?" when the opening scene tells you that you are looking for Navi and the first sentence in the booklet says Termnia is just a parallel of Hyrule. I mean it tells you.

Because it's been 100% proven that media production never lies to consumers on purpose. Oh wait. The clearer it tells you, the more suspicious it gets.

Thats like the laziest argument ever. You could apply that to anything.
Im more going on the fact the Matrix pretty much spells it out for you over the course of 3 movies multiple times that Neo, is in fact the One. For god sakes hes like the fucking embodiment of Jesus at the end of the 3rd movie, hence why he looks like a glowing holy angel. He died for EVERYONE else to live. I thought this was honestly common knowledge due to how unsubtle it is.
I mean come on, you have 3 whole movies explaining it to you and showing it to you clear as day. You are getting your theory from a guy who nitpicked scenes and left out extremely important bits in some just to skew his own view onto people.
The watchoski brothers are also getting far more credit than they would ever deserve by assuming they did this.
