On second thought, boss could just be affected by the psychic girl. Praying they do actually bring paranormal elements back into the series.
you mean [sp]young psycho mantis?[/sp]
you mean [sp]young psycho mantis?[/sp]
Unless he had a sex change no. It's possible it could be someone related to him though.
biggest and coolest trailer for a game I've seen in a while.
Unless he had a sex change no. It's possible it could be someone related to him though.
where's this info that you got that confirms that as a girl pls show me where you're pulling this out of
Yes. Phantom Pain as well.
But Ground Zeroes was due on the Xbox... does that mean MGSV is coming to the Xbox as well?
But Ground Zeroes was due on the Xbox... does that mean MGSV is coming to the Xbox as well?
IDK DOES IT?????
Unless he had a sex change no. It's possible it could be someone related to him though.
long hair does not = girl
His hair is barely girlish, its just sorta unkempt.
i hope he will berate me about playing uncharted and stuff
The bad guy looks like a fire version of volgin.
The bad guy looks like a fire version of volgin.
Thats because it literally IS volgin. Its his ghost/hallucination caused by Mantis-child.
Ok... so I played Snake Eater and MGS IV... I don't understand why he isn't old still.
oh shit that ending this game is going to be great!
Ok... so I played Snake Eater and MGS IV... I don't understand why he isn't old still.
not only IS he quite old in MGS4 but he's also pieced together at that point by using parts of solidus and liquid, which would mean he wouldnt look quite his age anyway. he literally says this at the end of mgs4
Ok... so I played Snake Eater and MGS IV... I don't understand why he isn't old still.
uhhh there are 2 snake's. naked snake (big boss) and solid snake (old snake) you play as naked snake in mgs3, portable ops, peace walker, and mgs5. you play as solid snake in mg, mg2, mgs, mgs2, and mgs4 [editline]27th March 2013[/editline] and also naked snake was cryogenically frozen for a couple of years and had body parts replaced.
where's this info that you got that confirms that as a girl pls show me where you're pulling this out of
Girl or not it can't be mantis. http://metalgear.wikia.com/wiki/Psycho_Mantis He's practically had no major involvement with anything up until Shadow Moses. My money is on a relative or someone from his village.
Girl or not it can't be mantis. http://metalgear.wikia.com/wiki/Psycho_Mantis He's practically had no major involvement with anything up until Shadow Moses. My money is on a relative or someone from his village.
wow you mean there's new information coming out for a character that only appeared in mgs1 and briefly in mgs4??? it's almost as if they're pulling another miller or another big boss.
Girl or not it can't be mantis. http://metalgear.wikia.com/wiki/Psycho_Mantis He's practically had no major involvement with anything up until Shadow Moses. My money is on a relative or someone from his village.
Funny. I dont remember ever hearing about Big Bosses mechanical left hand, Kazuhira Miller being named Kazuhira and friends with Big Boss, or that Otacons father was involved with Metal Gears on the wiki or in the games prior to Peace Walker/MGS5.
also good job on reading the page you linked.
He used his telekinetic powers to burn down the village that he lived in, killing all residents.

wow you mean there's new information coming out for a character that only appeared in mgs1 and briefly in mgs4??? it's almost as if they're pulling another miller or another big boss.
Or another Huey. Or another Gray Fox. Or another Campbell.
It seems a pretty huge thing to leave out that Mantis interacted with Big Boss on this level. There's been plenty of ret-conning but nothing on that scale. Not to mention nothing is ever as clean cut as it looks with MGS or Kojima overall. He's already been fucking with us pretty badly I doubt he would want to stop now.
It seems a pretty huge thing to leave out that Mantis interacted with Big Boss on this level. There's been plenty of ret-conning but nothing on that scale.
Master Miller. Colonel Campbell. Gray Fox. Huey Emmerich.
also good job on reading the page you linked.
That's not definite confirmation this kid is Mantis. Neither is it confirmation that he has pyrokinesis.
uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh the biggest retcon ever: nanomachines how is psycho mantis interacting with big boss in the 80's the biggest retcon in the series??
Hell, even Big Boss. [editline]27th March 2013[/editline]
That's not definite confirmation this kid is Mantis. Neither is it confirmation that he has pyrokinesis.
Actually it kinda is. What kind've contrived coincidence would it be for two children born in the early 70's wearing a unique identical gasmask with extremely powerful psychic abilities to exist together?
uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh the biggest retcon ever: nanomachines how is psycho mantis interacting with big boss in the 80's the biggest retcon in the series??
I never said it was but compared to previous retcons this would be a bit steep. [editline]27th March 2013[/editline]
Hell, even Big Boss. [editline]27th March 2013[/editline] Actually it kinda is. I refuse to just say "yeah that's definitely mantis" primarily because of the way Kojima has been messing with us. We all remember what he did with Raiden in MGS2. Anything could happen and you can't just expect it to be clean cut this early on.
Because that's totally impossible in the MGS series right?
Yes it really fucking is. [editline]27th March 2013[/editline] Because it would be contrived, dumb, and make no sense when you have a character you can use who's already been established before. [editline]27th March 2013[/editline]
I never said it was but compared to previous retcons this would be a bit steep.
Master Miller. Colonel Campbell. Gray Fox.
IDK DOES IT?????
well i dunno mgs has been a pretty sony-centric in the past. i mean i guess the xbox got the hd collection and revengeance. but still, just kind of surprising.
well i dunno mgs has been a pretty sony-centric in the past. i mean i guess the xbox got the hd collection and revengeance. but still, just kind of surprising.
The MGS games only came out for sony consoles first, then went to others. They want to branch out a bit, so yeah, there you go. Also, the games confirmed to be on PC, btw.
