Big Boss' voice isn't as deep and gravely as Old Snake's was. Also, keep in mind, someone else voiced Big Boss in MGS4.

Well, 79, but close enough.[/QUOTE] The reason was probably more that David Hayter talking to himself for such a long scene, and having to switch between gravely and not-so gravely, would have detracted from the scene. Also Richard Doyle has made no mention of even being involved in MGS5, so don't lose hope on David Hayter.
