I'm extremely hesitant. I adored JPOG, and I sunk many hours into it. It's one of my favorite games of all time and got me interested in so many aspects of science.
However I fear there may be studio meddling in this, and until we see gameplay, I have serious fears that it will be a streamlined DLC fest.
I've been wanting a new JPOG for years. Please don't fuck this up.

Oh my god I played Operation: Genesis SOOO much in my childhood I could not keep count of the amount of different parks I made. My friends and I back in middle school would fiddle around with our parks until we got it perfect. Then we deleted fences and watched the carnage. Killing Sims with the pool was nothing compared to the damage O:G let you unleash by raising the park up to a four-star park until you let the dinos go run wild on your guests before you were forced to fix it. The xbone logo had me worried it was gonna be a dumb M$ exclusive, but given it's multi-platform I'm all hyped again!!

This has instantly improved my mood, cleared my skin, and flossed my teeth.
I'm so fucking stoked to hear that a reputable developer is taking this on, Jurassic Park was such an important thing in my childhood and JP:OG was a key part of that.
I haven't felt this hyped in years.

would be cool to control just velociraptors since its lore appropriate while leaving full dino control to the dino sandbox thing from the first game

You should be able to play as a raptor riding a pterodactyl and drop rocks onto helicopters like in Avatar
RTS for the Dinos probably, if we can directly control them.

I always researched the cold flu vaccine first because every time my dinosaurs got sick it was that bug. Literally no other sickness then the flu struck my dinosaurs so many goddamn times.
I enjoyed OG, it was fun. At some point I stopped playing it, it was just really slow. Is there any way to speed up things? I think in vanilla OG, speeding up time isn't thing.
