I am getting my GCSE results sometime in the next week. I did pretty bad so my chances of doing A levels are pretty low right now.
But don't you have to get above a certain grade boundary in order to take a resit?
I think this depends on the subject and teachers. If you took something hard like Maths, never tried very hard and failed properly (i.e. got more than a few marks off a pass) it is likely they will decide you can't resit. As far as I know it is completely up to them though.

Look forward to BTEC instead.
My school kept on 50% of my school year under BTEC, 25% under A-Level and the others all went to college or work.
Think it is around 1pm at my college, it changes depending on your own college though.
I'm staying up tonight and checking UCAS, at 12.01pm it tells you whether your University has accepted you or not, so you know if you got the grades you needed.
When the fuck is your bed time?

No offence but to get less than 5 C's at GCSE is pretty damn hard. Anyway you probably will do better than you expect. Tends to be that way with GCSE exams.
I think my Boyfriend is getting his AS results tomorrow... My friend is getting his A2 results tomorrow.
I hope everyones results go well.

it depends where you want to do them. at my old school, the entry requirement for 6th form was at least 8 A grades.
hence the (UK) in the title.
I am curious and what is it

I got 8 A's, 2 B's and a C.
Not all that many did better... Your 6th form must have high req's, or, the tests got easier...
Oh fuck this shit. I'm really trying to be indifferent so I don't start crying when I don't get the necessary grades.
Word of advise to everyone, have your phones on you and make sure you have the phone number of the admisions office at your respected Uni' to see If they can come to some agreement.
Ah, I was about to make this thread :P
I need a AAB to get where I want, and a ABB for insurance.
Anyone able to verify that the tests have gotten easier?
That's some criticism I read on wikipedia and I wanted some input on that, for I am just a Yank.
Well i took my Polish AS a year early and i think i aced it,it was pretty easy. But this year i have A2 which is literature. :ohdear:
it's unfair on all the A2 students they can't resit because of the fucking syllabus changes.

Well to find out your future job prospects ect. I know for one that i wouldn't be able to sleep.
I love how the FP ads are all advertising clearing and the results arn't even out yet.
My uni gave me an unconditional offer the night before I got my results, so checking the night before is worth it.
I love how the FP ads are all advertisinf clearing and the results arn't even out yet.
I heard a radio ad for a Uni in the car today, so...
I'm predicted AABC for my 4 AS's.
Fingers crossed I get two A's and a B, so I can get a conditional place in the uni I want to go to (Aberystwyth)!
Surprisingly unconcerned about it though. I keep forgetting I get my results tomorrow. Feels good ;P just as long as I don't get something shitty like 4 D's, or I fail in one of my fave subjects (Photography/Music Tech) so I have to drop it at A-Level, I'm happy.
I got an E grade for my GCSE religious studies because in the exam I basically wrote shit about how god is a load of crap. My teacher never believed me when I said that I was going to screw it up deliberately.
GCSE Results are also out soon, the 27th, shitting a brick.
GCSEs are far more important in my opinion, since at a-level, you can just go to a different college or something. Not that I want to :(
I'm getting my AS level results tomorrow in Geo, Psychology, History and Bio.
I'm predicted pretty much all A's, but i don't think i did well in any of my exams. So i've literally got everything crossed... if i get 2 A's and 2 B's or better i will be very very very happy. I am hoping that i get nothing lower then a B or i am in big big trouble.
Good Luck people :)

I got a C by being as arrogant and sarcastic as I could in writing.
Hell I even used italics.

Did you have to do it or was it optional? We had to do it for some weird reason.
I'm Scottish and we call ours Highers. A's are the best, D is the worst.
A, A, A, B, C
Everyone apparently has to do it for legal reasons according to my old RE teacher. Not sure if that is true or not, sounds like a load of shit.

My old school had to do RS/RE for GCSE but the schools which were just like half a mile away didn't. Weird huh?
I missed alot of school due to personal reasons, wasn't me bunking. I'm hoping I get 5 A-C's so I can do the AD Course in IT at Reading.
