u are a teenage geek, you guys all have acne untill like 20 years old; acutane aint gonna fix shit bro.
I like your attitude.
I'm on acutane at this very moment. THIS DRUG IS A MIRACLE WORKER! You won't start to notice a big change until around the 3rd month but believe me it's very worth it.
A word of advice, Always carry chap stick until your lips build a tolerance. And your skin will get VERY dry but not to worry it is all worth it
Fucking Chapstick, get some. I am into my second month with it. Fucking get the fucking chapstick fuuuuck.
I'm not using Accutane because I don't spend most of my time worrying about tiny imperfections on my face so the opposite sex will find me "attractive".

GTFO till you know what your talking about
I took it, works just great!
Unless you're spamming a serious drug to brush off like 3 whiteheads. If that's the case, fuck you.
The end result (that might not work anyway) is definitely not worth the risks.
I was going to go on this a few months ago and then I read the side effects.

Because brain swelling and permanent blindness isn't good enough.
Holy shit. I just wash my face it works for me. No side affects there except you might accidentally drown yourself.
When did you get your packet and what was it? Was it the iPledge one?
also http://www.scienceblog.com/cms/common_acne_treatment_stops_blindness_in_animal_model
I believe it was the iPledge one. I don't know exactly where it is at the moment, though. I'll give a brief glance if it's requested.
Edit: Turns out that my mom threw it away.
long list of shitty side effects.
None of those are commen except dry skin. Where did you get this. Depression has been proven false and it actually aids eyesight. You are taking a fuckton of Vitamin A essentially (that shit in carrots that makes it good for your eyes). Really post a source.
Ya most of the side affects are bogus except for nosebleeds

I personally don't enjoy having permanent scarring on my face which I was beginning to get. Acne may not be terrible, but acne scars look like shit and never go away.

I will go grab mine and see if I can find it. If you do find it let me know though.
Source added to my first post. I had the packet though. The same things are on that web site that were in the packet that I had to sign off on.
My dermatologist just prescribed me an antibiotic. Ask your doctors about amoxicillin. It works REALLY well with limited, if any noticeable side effects. It takes about 2 weeks for it to fully kick in though.
It also does not work by killing the bacteria directly. It actually uses the side effect of the medicine which helps reduce redness and swelling in the skin, which makes it harder for bacteria to gather in small irritated locations, thereby preventing infections to form. Or something like that.

I tried that one. Took it for about 12 weeks and it never really improved my skin.

I'm sorry but your source sounds really biased. That shit will fuck up babies if you're pregnant though. Acutane is one of those things that everyone reacts differently too, and has a wise range of effects. The only common one is the chapped lips and dry skin. The rest are the random ones that different people have gotten. You never really know until you take it.

I was on minocicline (<- that is not spelled right) and Retin-A (tretinoin) for about a year. It works really well at first but diminishes as the bacteria get used to it.

Exact same thing here, so the doctor put me on Doxycycline, I stopped taking Retin-A, my body is kinda getting used to it though but I still take it.
The Sun is a very natural way to help your skin as well.
Yeah I've heard going to a tanning bead is great for bacne and such.
Yeah I've heard going to a tanning bead is great for bacne and such.
No. It only masks the redness. It makes the skin much worse in reality.

This wouldnt be great to do if you are on another acne medicine that makes you photo-sensitive. It is kind of asking for skin cancer.
Edit: Meant to quote the other guy. I agree with you.
