That's cool
like post-screamo :v:
Thanks for posting bro :respek:
I've heard them before, they're good.
They used to go by the name Fear Before The March Of Flames. They only have one album under the name Fear Before, I think. So you might find some more music if you use their old name.

yeah, they only have a self titled released as Fear Before. I just used the current name because that's what they went by when I first saw them live.
Always Open Mouth, Art Damage, and Odd How People Shake are all under FBTMOF, and all quite good

Too bad their lead singer sounds exactly like a little 13 year old girl
That's what kills it for me

Wrong
Cool album art though
Anyone like Asking Alexandria? They're pretty good. Might see them live in December, along with Miss May I and The Amity Affliction.

I like Miss May I a little. The first song I heard was the cover of "Swing" by Savage which is pretty cool, but the band never really grew on me.
Asking Alexandria I heard because I was listening to a different trancecore band and everyone commenting on that band mentioned Asking Alexandria so I had to check them out, but got pretty disappointed.
I haven't heard The Amity Affliction before, but from what I heard in that video, they're... okay I guess, but not worth taking my time to dig any further into it.
Miss May I is on the new Punk Goes Pop album, covering "Run This Town", I think. I want to hear it, but I'm at school.

All my friends like Asking Alexandrina
I can't dig it, I really don't like the keyboard/techno stuff
Amity Affliction are fucking awesome, I love their album Youngbloods
Stizzles, start with that, listen to the songs Youngbloods and H.M.A.S. Lookout first off, they are awesome
Also look what I got today

I love "keyboard/techno stuff", I just don't think they pull it off. There are a lot of bands that do it better, like HORSE the band, Greta Knights, Enter Shikari, Arsonists Get All The Girls and so on.

Alright, I'll look into it later.
Please do, I hope you end up liking it
techno+posthardcore sounds good, I think it adds a whole lot to the music
That's something I could never stomach
I See Stars I could though
I See Stars are fucking awful
I See Stars is pretty good.
I See Stars are fucking awful
Not quite as bad as a lot of other stuff that inhabits the techno kinda post hardcore
Of Mice and Men are pretty good
That they are, I buy few albums and it takes a hell of a lot to earn my money
But the money I spent on that album, money well spent.
The cleans are absolutely amazing, my favourite out of anything I've heard

Only band out of the genre I've truly had love for is Alexis, Dallas Green <3

To be fair, saying there's worse is hardly a justification for listening to music. Particularly when there is so much good music, I can't think of one reason to listen to anything which is truly average.
I just can't handle the inane amounts of autotune in I See Stars. And most post hardcore clean vocals

Autotuning is okay if it's used for voice effect. The clean vocalist in The Devil Wears Prada uses autotune for voice effects.
Next Wednsday is a Meet'n'Greet with Chiodos at the Frederick Rock School. How awesome, bands like this never do anything near or in Frederick.

Fair enough
and yes auto tuning is shit
There is no way to justify using it, and I know that I See Stars abuse the hell out of it
And if you can't handle clean vocals, I feel bad for you, I love cleans

lol man, TDWP are not a good example to use if you're trying to say something is good
Autotune is bad but vocal effects are not. Vocal effects such as the vocoder etc are great for effects, but autotune is just for people who can't sing. Nothing really wrong with using it to touch up like one note because the singer didn't quite end a line right or something, like was too deep/high or whatever but you should never be able to notice it. If you can notice it then the singer sucks.
Simple as that really
The thing with autotune as a vocal effect is that it should be okay if everybody were like responsible with it
True, it can be used for good effect and it sounds kind of cool, but doing so is also tak9ing the easy way out, it's really easy to make autotune sound cool with basically no effort
It's sort of like breakdowns
Nah I don't think your part about the breakdowns is true
If you are comparing auto tune to breakdowns because they are both
simple to use/makes it sound cool ect, I disagree
I just think some bands can't pull of breakdowns, esp of mice and men lol, so weak and yet they usually have one per song
They don't always work, and I think you do need to put effort into them
Why isn't anyone mentioning Underoath? Don't care much for their first album, but I absolutely love all of their other stuff.
The new album is amazing as well, much darker and groovier as a result of Aaron's departure (who had differing musical tastes from the rest of the band).
Oh, and they don't have the typical 'christcore' image
