You'll never hear anything like this, ever. (But if you do please let me know :v:)
stuff like A Day To Remember, or I See Stars
poppy in the sense that it can be enjoyed by practically anyone, and overuses stuff like keyboards/synths and autotune
it's entry level "screamed" music, and for the ill informed, "metal"
aka attack attack
Attack attack aren't bad but they have some absolutely terrible guitar sections involving bad chugging and horrible screechy guitar which ruin like EVERYTHING.
It took me a long time to figure out what the deal was with Attack Attack... It's because their songs have absolutely no flow or continuity, and are basically about 15 riffs one after the other. Reminds me of the songs I wrote when I was 14
I think they should just decide whether they want to be trance or electronic or whatever the fuck they really are, and stop calling themselves post hardcore or metalcore because listening to a song is always fucking confusing.
oh well, I don't listen to it but a lot of people I know do

that's exactly what august burns red sounds like to me but at least they don't have shitty 13 year old girl pop choruses
Cannibal corpse and Bloodbath.
They're so past hardcore
Bloodbath's song Eaten makes me lol

Yeah this is sort of what I'm talking about. The rhythm is hardly there.

It is awesome. It's about a real story though, not like they made it up.
Yeah I know

It's only good like the first time you hear it too
Soul Evisceration ftw
What?
as in really gay pop music with lots of electronic music...?
Enter Shikari are epic!! and also post hardcore is best listened to with the volume maxed out its best when it hurts your ears ^^
Would post-hardcore include bands such as A Day To Remember or Amity Affliction?
Yes it would
OP if you can't tell post hardcore from metalcore, you should probably learn your genres better
[editline]23rd October 2010[/editline]
and nice attention seeking little title on the end, I don't think that was entirely neccessary
Anything with core in it isn't metal. :colbert:
I'm not even going to waste my energy arguing with you
Anything with core in it isn't metal. :colbert:
Grindcore
Grindcore is really interesting in how it evolved from Crust and Thrashcore type stuff into an actual metal genre the same way Thrash evolved from Hardcore Punk
Not really post, but I saw This is Hell, Polar Bear Club, Emarosa, and Bring Me The Horizon today.
Not really post, but I saw This is Hell, Polar Bear Club, Emarosa, and Bring Me The Horizon today.
PBC, Emarosa, and newer BMTH are all post-hardcore or pretty close to it.

That's what I thought to, they didn't fit in at all.
[editline]28th November 2010[/editline]
also August Burns Red was there but I didn't stay for them, and it kinda sucked for them because half the crowd left after BMTH

If i was there i would have left when BMTH played and then came back for August Burns Red.
That or just go get a drink, the stage and main crowd area wasn't wider than 35 feet.

Me too
Luckily I've seen them play a set before anyway
Why leave for one band
Personally I'd stay for it all
when I saw DevilDriver I wasn't looking forward to 36 Crazyfists cos i thought they were really boring but they actually put on a fucking amazing show. Mosh pits n jumpin errywher
