here's the trailer for the frag film

quite a difference
this looks a hell of a lot better but i still can't really tell whats going on in the actual frag clips
green glow will forever be associated with gamer trash
this video is pretty damn bad but it's hard to say the editor doesn't have talent
And im not saying he doesn't. It just that he throws it right in viewer's face. His talents is supposed to outline the main subject - instead he just show off he's skills in video editor.
I want a cooking video from that guy.
Imagine that.
Or some "how to repair your bike" instructional video.
I really enjoyed how they matched the gun sounds with the music
Waaaaaay too much going on
The music is good enough but beside that its meh.
The music is good enough but beside that its meh.
out of everything in the video you saw the only thing you did not dislike was the music?
the dead are rolling in their graves.
Tbh yes the entire video is kind of cringe but being able to edit like this is what leads straight into a real career editing trailers/movies/music videos/intro sequences/etc
It would be way stronger if it wasn't a frag video but instead just a focused demo reel of sorts. The over the top editing is pretty good if you take out the frag video cuts, the cringe music selection that makes it seem hyper edgy, and the fact that it is incredibly self serious and self aggrandizing in presentation ("in loving memory").
Reminds me of them really old school Call of Duty montages from back in the day, like this one;

Those effects look pretty amazing.
The maps look like they came from cod
Aka no "high speed low drag" no clutter comp maps
The guy who edited this can just use that as a demo-reel and he'll be fine. He'll go far, he has talent.
The whole thing tho was pretty garbage. I mean, why make it as a CS:GO frag comp in the first place, when it's all edited? With his talent he could've just made a CT vs T fight or something with all kinds of fancy effects. Whatever
Is this even counter strike anymore?
Edgier than my mom's newest kitchen knife, great editing but he went the wrong way with it
Is this satire?
The frags were nothing special
Happy's deagle ace is nuts man. You wont see anything simillar in other games.

She
I have no fucking clue what a "frag video" is, other than presumably a video about getting kills in a game - I presume, judging from reactions in this thread, it's some CSGO phenomenon (I don't play Counter-Strike, so I have no idea what goes on in its culture :v:)
I thought this was extremely well done. The content itself was boring, but it was all put together incredibly well. My only real complaint was that about the time "Wake me up" started playing the music became a bit of a clusterfuck.
Other than that, I found it to be a pretty enjoyable mish-mash of crazy effects and over-the-top-ness, and the weapon-fire being synced to the music was a particularly nice touch. The type of editing I'd expect in a Summer Hollywood Blockbuster film trailer.
To be honest seeing the production process behind this video sounds more interesting to me than the actual subject matter of the video :v:

Frag videos have been around for a loooooooooooooooong time (I would bet that probably the first Quake or UT probably had them) and they're not exclusive to any one game.
This is how you do a real montage video.

This entire video sums up everything I hate about over-edited frag vids. I could still handle the 2010~ era CSS frag clips where they sync the frags to the audio, with animations and transitions kept to a minimum.
Frag vids/montages should showcase player's skills. The viewer can learn a thing or two, maybe attempt to mimic the video. Good editing, but this just defeats the purpose.
I legitimately liked that first song. What's it called?

It's this girl who did the effects:

Channel that uploaded the video in OP probably just contracted her to do all the effects/editing AKA do all the work.
Seems like she gets more than enough work offered just hope she gets paid right.

Frag videos are usually a "showoff your luckiest moments" video.
This is the only frag video that matters.

It has dancing terrorists in it, what else do you need?
The music was the fucking worst. No accounting for key at all, just slap some songs together. Fucking trash. Rarely does a song evoke such visceral disgust in me :v:
Who did this music? Everything is out of pitch. The song is playing in one key and the vocals are playing in another. I can't watch through this.
i thought this was pretty fuckin' sweet, loosen up guys its supposed to be fun
