How the fuck is it "unhealthy"
HURP DURP ITS NOT NATOORAL BRO IT MUST BE BAD
Yes, most of them are unhealthy. Soda in general is shit for your body, it's just water added with sugar and chemical shit you'd be better without. And I'm throwing this in for Jaeger: Artificial sweeteners cause the body to release insulin, because it expects additional sugar in the bloodstream from the sweet taste. There's no increased blood sugar though, so the little bit of sugar that's naturally in your blood and essential, will be partly used. Now you have a way too low sugar level, and you get those shit cravings for food to equalize.
You should just generally not consume anything made chemically.
lmao
lmao
Actually he's partially right.

Eating a steak, which contains 0 (zero) carbohydrates, releases insulin into the bloodstream. So this is bad logic. Insulin isn't a boogeyman, contrary to what carb-o-phobic people want us to believe. I have been on harsh cuts before where hunger is actually a legit problem, and i drank Pepsi MAX like a fucking cheap whore. It didn't increase my hunger and in, fact acted as an appetite suppressant for the most part. In practice, I'd rather drink a can of a diet soda and eat real food than I would drink a can of sugar filled soda.
Then why not drink any soda ?
Then why not drink any soda ?
Um because excess sugar is a bad idea when you already have a caloric surplus? Because people just can't seem to settle for one can, they have to drink liters of the shit? On a caloric deficit it makes literally no fucking difference. Next time I cut I'm going to do it on foods people have typically labeled as "fattening foods" or "bad" just for shits and giggles and to prove people wrong.
Well it makes a difference if you are eating less and half of your calories come from soda you may not be getting the important vitamins minerals ect ect.
HURP DURP ITS NOT NATOORAL BRO IT MUST BE BAD
While I'm on the subject it's pretty hilarious how people will fucking worry the shit out of themselves about a chocolate milkshake, but will happily guzzle down a fucking triple banana pineapple and mango smoothie, despite the fact the fruit smoothie probably has 2 x the sugars and none of the protein. [editline]21st August 2011[/editline]
Well it makes a difference if you are eating less and half of your calories come from soda you may not be getting the important vitamins minerals ect ect.
Yeah, this is the only thing though. This is what I was trying to get into peoples head's ages ago about the whole "dirty" vs "clean" carbs which are really retarded terms and I hate myself for even using them in an explanation. The thing is, there is still, by and large, this retarded contention that certain foods are guaranteed to make you fatter even when you are in a caloric deficit (literally impossible unless your thyroid shuts down or something equally retarded). Let's say my pre-workout meal consisted of oatmeal and a protein shake, most "fitness gurus" wouldn't bat an eye at that. If i replaced that with say, a donut and a protein shake, they would lose their shit about (even if the macros were the same lmao). I guess what I'm trying to say is, if it fit's in your macros, eat that shit (for the most part). If you are on a caloric deficit, as long as you are in deficit, it doesn't really fucking matter what you eat as far as fat loss is concerned.
Well, it's very unhealthy, but hell it won't give you CANCER.
WHY ARE THERE SO MANY RETARDS IN THIS SECTION!
we need a proper nutrition thread
we need a proper nutrition thread
I'm on it.

I only drink sodas/eat candy/whatever with sugar in it. I don't trust other sweeteners. Especially not Aspartame. I've heard you can get diabetes way easier with Aspartame than sugar since the human body can't really defend against it. I'm not 100% sure though, only heard it.
if you only heard it, then disregard it

Real men get iv's and just inject massive amount of calories within a few simple minutes. Then we snort blow off our private trainers dick (zyzz style)

Alright... A. I drink pop every fucking day of my life.. i mean it's pretty much all i drink. I'll drink juice and such but I hate drinking water. I'm not fat if anything I'm a tad underweight (not gonna get into how the BMI is bullshit that's a different thread) and besides having soft teeth their is nothing wrong with me (plus my grandmother is British and everyone on that side of the family has horrible teeth regardless of what they do so i blame it on her) As aspartame is some peoples mainly Dr. Betty Martini say it can make diabetic people have bad reactions to there insulin, and for people who don't have it and are prone to getting it, it can hasten the oncoming of diabetes, Drinking more then 4L of pop containing it a day can give you sight problems... the list goes on. mean while FDA officials describing aspartame as "one of the most thoroughly tested and studied food additives the agency has ever approved" they have tested this shit in side and out... best they came up with was headaches... also they noted a lot of the sources to the what Betty Martini said came from the internet... They also state the main person behind the aspartame spear campaign on the internet. I also noticed everything with her name on it that she wrote has DR. on the name but everyone else just calls her Betty. I'm starting to wonder wtf she's a DR. in? so I look it up and surprise surprise.. Dr. Better here has a honorary Doctor of Humanities degree for the work she has done as she has 22 years of experience in the medical field. Well 22 years is a long time.. but lets dig further here. It's still an honorary degree. meaning you need to know people with the school. I'm sure the people on the board where friends of hers or maybe worked with her in the past something along those lines... i personally wouldn't let her treat as a DR just saying.. So there you have it.. the "facts" you can trust the FDA or you can trust the "DR" who openly admits to being a bitch to the aspartame companies. Is part of bullshit websites like mission possible thats about "saving the world" from stupid shit like aspartame in peoples food....(no joke its on the home fucking page in big "FLAMING" yes flaming letters) and as far as i can tell she doesn't actually treat people or do any medical work.... As Dr. Bones would say I'm A Doctor Jim! Not a Medical Professional!" My final opinion: Drink what ever the fuck you want and not because someone else want you to or not to...
I would rather lick crystalized lsd off another man's balls before I listened to anything "dr." betty martini has to say on the matter.
Don't trust the FDA, simple as that.
I was always raised on "Soda isn't the best for you, but if you're gonna drink it, drink regular". Wanna know why? All those artificial sweeteners and shit they put into the diet/light drinks are just total shit for you. Regular soda is a lot better for you than Diet soda, although that's not to say that I advocate drinking only Mtn. Dew and nothing much else (Although I'd be a liar to say that I didn't do that myself).

My mom and all other people I know who have made amazing progress don't use diets or special drinks. They just work out until they can't do any more and take the appropriate amount of break days in between a certain workout and eat only what they need. And it helps to know what not to eat. Like pasta is bad to eat if you think it will help you lose weight once you go running the day after. Pasta does help provide energy but your body will burn that and not the fat. Also starving yourself is a bad idea. THe human body is great at protecting against famine. It will burn away the muscle before it burns away the fat. Eat what you need but not too much because muscle will burn away fat even as you sleep or even type on the computer. My mom has lost over 100 pounds just because she was motivated to eat right, learn a bit about nutrition (which is one of the most important aspects of getting healthier) and working out with a set program personalized for her by a great trainer. I am new to actually working out and eating right and am making terrific progress. I am getting stronger and losing fat. Not necessarily weight but I don't care as long as I feel great and confident.
Oh my fucking god...
I like Arizona Iced Tea..................................................................... the half and half one at least, the rest are acid to my tongue
