No shit, I know I'm judging her acting based on previous work, I was using Lucy as an example because it was her most recent movie that isn't a more lighthearted film or a marvel film.
People judge things or other people to form an opinion on the person, their skills, their personality, etc or the thing they're judging whether it's good or bad.
Scar Jo was good in Under the Skin, fairly minimal role, but I think it translates well to this.

Judging from her performance in Under the Skin, which is a lot closer to this than her character in Lucy, I think she can pull it off.
