They already said it would come to PC after the release on Playstation.
The fact that there's been no gameplay yet but three cinematic trailers makes me concerned that he's getting too carried away with making it too movie like, and it's going to be another MGS4 where it was 90% cutscene 10% game.
Death Stranding was announced a year and a half ago, why cant anyone remember it right.
The QA predates Death Stranding. It was released December 2015, two years ago. https://www.gamespot.com/articles/kojimas-ps4-console-exclusive-will-come-to-pc/1100-6433155/ To my knowledge other than this now nonexistent QA there is zero evidence of a PC release.

That would be a shame.
What if Hand-Print Creatures Live in the mirror world? This could allow them to move to close to the Sam's Alive companion and above the other dude. and they can only manifest in the black goop (oil and/or other Liquids?)

Nobodies going to try and identify the black sludge he vomits up?? They look similar to Waterbears (although much larger), a creature that can quite literally leave death on standby for long periods in harsh environments and come back to to the living. This would fit into the whole water theme and aquatic scenery in the past trailers, and the fact they would likely survive a apocalyptic scenario. They've survived all previous mass extinctions, can survive the vacuum of space and solar radiation etc. Other trailers show how there is cetacean stranding, the beaching and death of aquatic life. This is something the waterbear would overcome (hopefully) due to being able to be reduced in water content for 10+ years. Sorry if this is late i tried to skim through
I have to say, if it's a PS4 exclusive, i'll just watch a twitch playthrough. As much as I want to play the game, I can't be convinced to buy a console I'll only use for one game, with a controller I've never used before. Not releasing it on PC would be a huge mistake.

Here's a wild thought: What if what we see in the trailer doesn't happen in sequence? What if the underwater and crater scenes are before or way after the body disposal scene? In the first scene, when Norman tries getting up you can clearly see that his leg is hurt, with some blood (possibly) coming out of it when he's crawling towards the van later. When he gets up during the crater scene, he's obviously distressed, and even though he does struggle a bit to get up, he doesn't seem to be concerned about his leg at all. Or maybe this is some sort of inception-like scenario, where there's the demon (dream) world and the real world, and what happens in one doesn't necessarily apply to the other. If that's the case, maybe the reason the other guy shot the man under the truck and then tried killing himself is because that's how you get back to the real world, where if you get eaten by the demons you are doomed forever (of course that wouldn't explain how a truck made it's way there). Some food for thought.
what in the fuck is Kojima smoking
kojima has always been about theatrics. the man had someone wear a ridiculous bandage mask at e3 for a giant ruse, no meme is too extreme for hideo kojime
Remember how people thought the crazy Russian head transplant doctor was actually a Kojima ARG for Metal Gear Solid 5?
I'm totally okay with not getting gameplay yet. I don't want to get my hopes up when they show off a cool thing but it doesn't end up in the final game because it was an early version and they were still working out how mechanics interact.
Plus lets be real, Kojima games are all about the story. The gameplay could honestly be mediocre but if the story is excellent that's all I really want.
As long as Kojima is having fun I'm having fun.

I would be 100% okay if Death Stranding was a movie, no gameplay at all. If I recall correctly, Kojima's stated interest in wanting to do a movie for a long while now. Combine that with the fact he's not only working with director Del Toro for Death Stranding, but is also bringing on various big actors like Reedus and Mikkelson, and we have these beautiful trailers already. It's not like a proper movie is that far out of the realm of possibility at this stage.
I wouldnt. I love Kojima's work but i dont want a 9 hour long movie.
Too late for that, buddy
There's also bloodborne
But I have zero interest in that :c
i think the funnier part is that you think it'd only be 9 hours long
i think the funnier part is that you think it'd only be 9 hours long
Every movie is 9 hours long there are like 10 parts that all pick up exactly where the last left off but it takes like 15 years for them all to come out and none of them are even remotely in order as far as release date and plot point are concerned as to maximize the confusion and mystery of the plot.
There's no gameplay in this, still, but there ae glimpses. The baby powered shoulder sensor in particular is likely going to be a staple of the gameplay, and we also know you need to hold your breath, so thats probably in there somewhere. And there are guns. Probably a stealth horror third person shooter where you keep a close eye on the shoulder thing while moving through increasingly bizarre environments. Sounds cool to me. I doubt that kojima would really want to cut his ideas down to a 2 hour sequence and make a movie instead of a game. Games can be much longer while holding the player's interest for that entire period. There are TV series for length, but because those are released weekly instead of all at once the production is affected by audience reaction and has a different dynamic entirely built for intermittent viewing rather than as one final product with breaks. Improvements in later episodes also cant trickle down to the earlier episodes as it would in development of a movie or game, either.
