That must have fucking hurt
He should have know it would have been physically impossible to make that. That jump is about one story high: if we take the mass x velocity of the scooter PLUS the boy we get a force, say F. Now two times = 2F = two story drop with a driver = instant break at both wheels not to mention the immense friction from the asphalt
And one hell of a facial destruction.
I love how the camera guy did just stand there, without even pretending to be helping.
Hmm. After much observation I think it's safe to say that he landed. And then his scooter broke.
fucking smacked face first into the ground. holy shit.
I dont usualy laugh hard at videos like these. But man, i have a sixpack now :v:
Hmm. After much observation I think it's safe to say that he landed. And then his scooter broke.
Flawless observation, Watson.
I laughed so hard I fell out of my chair when he faceplanted. I'm a horrible person and I'm going to hell but I don't give a fuck that was hilarious :v:
for those who rated this man dumb: The dumbshit in the video was stupid enough too try it again, even though he failed the first time, and probably bent his scooter out of shape on the first failed jump. He deserved it.
Oh man he skidded across the cement with his face. [editline]28th February 2011[/editline] Why do people not wear helmets?
Razor is the only scooter brand that I've ever known... Not to be stupid.
I still have a JD Razor I got in 2000. I think that it's of a much higher quality than most Razor scooters I see at stores today. I wonder what type of scooter that guy had, and if he'd been using a higher quality one what would have happened. I think he sort of brought that on himself, though. Scooters were never really meant to do that in the first place, he wasn't wearing any protective gear, and he didn't properly brace himself for the landing.
LOL @ Cameraman
it'd be nice to know what actually happened to him. my guess is that he got KOd and was in a coma for a while.
Just because you're standing on a metal surface with wheels doesn't mean you can suddenly withstand the impact of a height like that.
..I guess they faded the video out because the guy was pretty hurt, but they should've shown some pictures after accident (assuming he was okay). I don't understand why he wouldn't wear a helmet for a stunt like that.
People are now saying the kid died. Not sure if he was taken to the hospital or if he broke his neck on impact; or even if it's true.
He should at least be the official scooter tester or something. I mean, its not like he has any brain left to damage. :3:
I laughed so hard at that faceplant im in tears, then when i saw him not getting up i was like :ohdear:
Wow, would be nice to get some accurate information on what happened to him.
Think I had a razor scooter Wasn't dumb enough to try and jump off 5ft with it though
I still have one.
I found this while trying to find out what happened to the kid. http://vimeo.com/19150976
Well that video helps clarify some things. He's not dead but his face got beat up pretty bad though.
for those who rated this man dumb: The dumbshit in the video was stupid enough too try it again, even though he failed the first time, and probably bent his scooter out of shape on the first failed jump. He deserved it.
It's a sport. You don't just go "oh well I tried it, that's that forever." He was stupid for not having proper equipment. From seeing his first and second attempt he clearly had some sort of knowledge of what he was doing.
I found this while trying to find out what happened to the kid. http://vimeo.com/19150976
Well that explains the aftermath. Thanks!
According to Youtube top rated comments, he died.
since when is this guy a mod
since the moderators fell asleep and got really really drunk [editline]28th February 2011[/editline] yes, it was that bad
Oh snap.
I don't get why kids don't wear helmets anymore. What was probably a serious injury here could have probably just been a painful whack on the head if he had just had a helmet on.
one of the comments on youtube link to his profile and a longer vid on vimeo, he fractured a couple bones and got a swollen eye EDIT: extremely late
