They have their fluids replaced by plastics to preserve their shape and texture, so they're going to look somewhat plastic.
The corpses are all from donors who agreed to have their bodies used for this purpose after they die. This does not interfere with regular organ donation since the removal the removal and use of organs needed for transplant takes priority.
Only sick thing I find is that this man cuts the bodies, and likes it.

The bodies are practically plastic now, they are pumped with resins and coated too.

It's intriguing, but a bit frightening. Especially seeing that is basically one of US split open to have all the parts revealed. Really interesting, but a tad scary. I like them.
