I hate all my clothes
[editline]05:29PM[/editline]
But I wear them anyway for some reason
You buy clothes that cost more for the MATERIAL, not the looks. God.
I'd rather spend £50 on a Polo T-shirt, than some crappy £10 polo shirt from Tesco. I know Polo is a good brand and that their material will last longer.
That is why you buy more expensive clothes.
That £70 coat would probably end up losing its buttons by the end of the month.
So you think that Polo T-Shirt would last longer than FIVE Tesco ones?
Yeah right.
T-Shirt + Jeans, + Fedora hat = Win.
People just like to show off and buy more expensive clothes because they can.
I just don't understand though. I mean, if you buy a expensive golden PS3 or nice car, you can show off your golden PS3 or nice car. As for clothes, there's not really a point since they both look exactly the same.
The best thing to do would be to buy the cheap one, say you bought the expensive one, and use the money you saved to buy more cheap ones. Or some golden PS3's.
For some reason i don't experience alot of clothing based elitism. I shop at more high end clothing stores like J. Crew and Martin & Osa, but that's because their clothing is genuinely better than places like, for example, a department store, mainly for the reason that they use higher quality fabric, don't outsource their labour to other countries, and have a higher level of service. I certainly wouldn't make fun of someone for wearing cheap clothes (unless they looked particularly dreadful), but honestly i think you should put some thought into what clothes you buy. If you're planning on wearing them alot, then buy something high quality.
i am wearing that uniqlo cashmere one right now in black
it cost £50
Uh, no, I wear good looking clothes. They're just less expensive than designer clothes.
i was talking to the guy who said;
Also, personally I've never seen the point of having good looking clothes either. The point of clothes is to keep us warm and protect us. I can't see how wearing a slightly different material would affect this in any way really. But hey, it can't be helped, people are stupid.
you are safe today splurgy.
In my opinion...
Jeans + Shirt = simplest design.
I usually wear a long sleeve jacket over my shirt and leave it open.
The only thing I was really thrilled buying was my coat, it costs around 150 euros (it used to cost 300+).
I have never spent more than $30 on a piece of clothing with the exception of my parka and boots. (Where the extra cost actually means quality and functionality instead of brand name)
Costco white long sleeved shirts look good with anything.
Costco white long sleeved shirts look good with anything.
White shirts don't look good with anything, unless you're a grocery store employee. (Which I was at one point. White shirt + black apron + black pants = stylin)
just lie about where you buy your clothes, everyone else does who sneers at you for going to topman or uniqlo.
He shouldn't have a reason to lie, though. They shouldn't look down on him for not being a rich motherfuck.
He shouldn't have a reason to lie, though. They shouldn't look down on him for not being a rich motherfuck.
If people insult my clothes, I threaten to strip. It shuts them up.
...
:frown:
I usually just wear topman jeans, a t-shirt, perfereably not topman because their t-shirts are thin and ill fitting, I like brightly coloured t-shirts, and then just my DC jacket that I've had for years, and a pair of vans shoes. It looks good, it's not too expensive (okay the DC jacket was £70 but that's worth it for how long I've had it)
I used to go crazy on shoes, I spent £90 on some nike dunks that aren't made anymore, now I just buy vans slip ons for about £20-30. I also used to not wear my expensive shoes because they'd get dirty, but i sort of realised that's what shoes are for, so now I don't really care.
There's a shop in my town called Huxtables. They stock mainly Levis and Diesel stuff.
There, you can buy a pair of boot-cut jeans (long enough to fit my 1.2m long legs) and a long-sleeved top for £15 total.
It is the best clothes shop ever.
The most expensive item of clothing I own is my shoes, which cost £30.
I dislike boot-cut jeans. I feel like I'm walking around with parachutes flapping at my legs.

Vans authentic, all the way. They match with everything, and they're surprisingly comfortable.
Cosmetic Plague. Listen to this song. It's about fashion in a sense.

Fedora hats are for weird hipsters who think they're cool and retro.
White shirts don't look good with anything, unless you're a grocery store employee. (Which I was at one point. White shirt + black apron + black pants = stylin)
He doesn't necessarily mean button ups. Some long sleeved shirts complete an outfit pretty well. (and by the way, I work for Vons, that's my current getup too)
If people judge you by your clothes, there is something wrong with them.
Congratulations you figured out what I knew a long time ago. Actually I prefer $3 shirts from the thrift store, seeing as how my friends really don't give a fuck about what I wear. A lot of the expensive things are usually crappy, bland, and one color.
Really, some shirts even match the price of video games.
Crappy one color shirt or a video game?

Also, I wear high quality clothes, but I got it all from my grandfather, who used to work in a clothing store.
Everyday I wear a leather jacket, leather gloves lined with real fur, and snakeskin boots.
Fedora hats are for weird hipsters who think they're cool and retro.
Ugh, I know. They give true fedora wearers a bad name.

By looking at his armor and spells, he seems to be Level 21, race: virgin
I have a Gant Peacoat, I got it just because I like the way it looks compared to other variations of the style...and so people who care about the price of clothes can get all pissed off.
Meh, I do fine with jeans+tee.
Though I'm trying to branch out despite concerns of looking like a douchebag.
$10 Black shirt from target and a pair of $16 jeans is pretty much all I wear.

Are these concerns incited by other people? If so, who gives a fuck?
