No country for old men managed to make me jump at least once or twice.

Fucking dumbo drunk scene. THough I loved the car part of it.
Do music videos count? "Prime Time Of Your Life" by Daft Punk traumatised me.
Jurassic Park used to scare the shit out of me when I was a kid.
Also, this guy creeped me out so badly:

Fantastic acting.

Oh yeah and when I saw the Lord of the Rings for the first time the Ringwraiths were kinda creepy.
snippedy
I was terrified of Killer Klowns From Outer Space, a comedy. I hated how they drank blood and they had acid pies and all kinds of gross shit.
Don't know if Jurassic Park counts as non-horror, but back when I used to watch my VHS copy (I was something like, 9 at the time) I would always leave the room during the bit where the T-rex breaks through the fence and goes on a rampage.
One flew over the cuckoo's nest, I'm never going anywhere near a mental hospital.
All of Tim Burton's movies leave me with an uneasy feeling just because nightmare before christmas scared the piss out of me.
And I still refuse to watch James and the Giant Peach because it's so freaky.
this, i fucking hate james and the giant peach
half blood prince.. Do not know why.
All the Harry Potter movies are just creepy. I don't know why, but I think they just are creepy..
That. If your child ever asks you what taking drugs is like, show them this.
And the scene in Jurrasic Park where the guy on the toilet gets munched. I was four when I saw that the first time, I literally jumped behind the couch and stayed there for the rest of the movie :v:
That's weird, I always thought the Dumbo drunk scene was really cool.
But now that I'm older, I realize it makes no sense. Some champagne, especially dumped in a tub full of water, is not going to make you hallucinate at all, and it would probably have even less of an effect on an elephant.
Since everyone else is mentioning Jurassic Park though, the scene that scared me in that movie was the one with the little spitting dinosaur that attacked Newman. I thought all the parts with a T-Rex and stuff were cool. Also never knew what raptors were before that movie.

I could manage to get through that bit, but I would always stop the tape at the bit where the rex breaks through the tree-line and chases the jeep.
God I must have watched the start of the film up to that point a hundred times or more.

the first harry potter, when the face came out of the book, I shat bricks

That movie creeped the fuck out of me when I was little.
Some movie I can't remember the name of, Secret of Moh or something like that, it was about mice.
Like, near the middle / end one of them dies and its really scary.
I remember being like 3 and crying because it scared me so badly.
I remember I got freaked out in the scene in Predator where the guy gets his arm blown off. I don't remember how old I was but I do remember I ran out of the room screaming :v:.
If somebody remembers Pingu, the kids show. There was one episode where Pingu had a nightmare. I swear to god i was frighten to death of this scene where that big seal jumps out of the ice.
this motherfucker:

Basically the majority of 'Fantasia' scared the shit out of me when I was very young.
Along with the twister scene in 'Wizard of Oz'.
:ohdear:
When i was a kid i watched a movie with my parents but i cant remember what it was called.
The scene that scared me was a guy woke up to his wife but the camera was on him then the wife started talking and the camera moved to her and she was a giant praying mantis!!!!
Any one know this movie?
Meet the Applegates?
It's about a family of highly intelligent insects disguising themselves as humans with the intent on overthrowing the human race.
Definitely not scary. It has a couple of decent laughs in it though.

The Day After Tomorrow. Non-horror, but it scared me.
Oh and the scene in the Wizard of Oz when they confront the witch scared the crap out of me as a kid. Fucking flying monkeys
