sub-zero is noob
no boon is noob
Also this The lyrics are so weird.
I know this sounds a bit immature, but fuck I can't finish the video due to the horrible rap.
I don't think I'd like stage interactables in MK
sub-zero is noob
I can't tell if that's an insult or a spoiler.
Should have been a slow mo montage of people getting hit with x-ray attacks while this was playing.
E3 is only about a week away, why are there so many game reveals now Good thing Straya finally put on the big boy pants and we can get this one on release
E3 is only about a week away, why are there so many game reveals now Good thing Straya finally put on the big boy pants and we can get this one on release
Some games still bet banned for no reason and have to cut stuff out, like Saints Row IV.
I'm not against rap/hip hop but I don't think it's a good mix with two ninjas fighting in a frozen forest. Music aside, I liked the designs, they looked more grounded and practical. Or less over the top is what I'm trying to say. This is most likely pre-rendered but looks like x-ray is going to be more detailed, new environmental interactions, new fatalities...
i like the rap. it's juxtaposition. i think anyone can put some ep1c orchestral music or shit shredding guitar music to nerdy video games but rap can work really well. it subverts expectation and at the end of the day it appeals to a demographic that games like mortal kombat aren't exactly traditionally aimed at
Some games still bet banned for no reason and have to cut stuff out, like Saints Row IV.
That's with weird anal stuff and certain drugs, like South Park got edited too As long as we can get ultragore games like uncensored L4D2 and the previously banned Mortal Kombat I can live without anal probes

Will it kill them if they show Sub-Zero win against Scorpion for once?
Will it kill them if they show Sub-Zero win against Scorpion for once?
Boon loves Scorpion too much to do that.

If they were going to put a rapper in there they could have at least picked someone who has a more fitting voice than Wiz Khalifa...
I don't have a problem with rap being in the trailer, I have a problem with that song being in the trailer. It doesn't fit, and it isn't a dissonance thing. To create proper dissonance you don't just slap an unfitting song over your footage, you have to choose a song which has an effect on the scene, like playing a serene song over and action heavy scene, or an energetic song over a slower, more heavy scene. Slapping an unfitting rap song over 2 guys fighting in a snowy forest isn't a good way to create effective dissonance.
I think this song was written specifically for this game which makes it even worse.
It was.
Rap is not something I expect to hear in Scorpion vs Sub-Zero fight. Maybe if it was Jax or Cage or someone more like that.
i think it's funny because i imagine netherhead's higher ups in a meeting discussing how they want to present the trailer and they all agree that they have to appeal to the main community for nrs games like mk9 and injustice, which are black people.
Also, the animation was fine. They're not some AAA company who can dash out limitless cash for a announcement trailer.
They're part of Warner Bros., who can and did splash out for a fancy CG trailer.
same with sf4 when it first came out with that cheesy ass anime music made for white people.
Obviously they're trying to appeal to the Wu-Tang: Shaolin Style fanbase

Also, right as I said "Where's the gore?" the x-ray shot happened. Psychic!
Pretty sure that's nearly every fighting game.
then you don't know anything about the fgc.
then you don't know anything about the fgc.
You should know by now that Rap is a staple of any good fighting game!
Wouldn't metal be more fitting for Mortal Kombat then rap, the game pretty much looks like the cover art for some old-school metal album?
