So because SA had effort put into it, its a good game? Obviously effort is everything there is to quality but just because "Oh this had more effort put into it than X" means nothing at all.
talk about missing the point the only reason this discussion started was because that guy said SA had more effort put into it. i'm agreeing with him. i'm not saying it's a better game because of that.
Vice City just had a very distinct style. Miami in the '90s... San Andreas fit Los Angeles, Las Vegas and San Francisco in itself and in result, it had a much less defined art direction.
I always felt 1994 was a bad time choice for Vice City, Tony Montana had been dead 11 years [editline]25th June 2014[/editline] To me this is beautiful, though, because it shows how far we've come in 10 years, even within the same developer. Insert "imagine another 10 years" line here, but like fuck, where WILL we be by then? The leap from that era of gaming to this was phenomenal, so what's the next one going to be like?
see the post I replied to
Oh, I see.
Whats the music in the trailer, it sounds funky.
From Nowhere - Dan Croll (Baardsen Remix) It plays on Radio Mirror Park in-game as do most of the trailer songs. Majority of the songs playing on that station were made for GTA5 and then released publicly.
Keep in mind that it's been 10 years since the release of San Andreas.
i feel old now
There's a whole lot of stupid in this thread. Can we just agree that they did a great job recreating the trailer and get along?
I still play SA and have always done so from release. I think I'm in love with it, honestly. :v:
Are you sure you played GTAV and wasn't just mugged? :v:
Yeh but I actually enjoyed it.
wow what settings was he playing GTA:SA on, the PC version looks much better today than it did in that trailer
There's a whole lot of stupid in this thread. Can we just agree that they did a great job recreating the trailer and get along?
I know we can all agree that... the fact that we get to see such an amazing game (GTA SA) being compared to what is basically its grandchild (GTA5) like this and see how much GTA has changed is amazing, and the fact that we don't see more of these videos is a real shame. It's amazing to see how technology improves, and that we still have games that are just as great as GTA SA was during its time. Really wish we had a channel dedicated to honoring old games by remaking the trailers of their sequals. It was great growing up with GTA SA. I'd say its a same people that were our age when we played SA won't get the same experience, but GTA5 I'd say does that pretty well. I hope we have full mod support and we can have SA recreated in GTA5 on pc.
I think it's cool to think that in years 10 time, kids of this generation will grow up remembering GTA V Franklin, Trevor and Michael like we did with CJ. I've watched my little cousin sink literally fucking days into it like I remember me and my friends doing when I was his age, it's just nuts.

[editline]26th June 2014[/editline] only this time they'll have HD VR headsets
